It's not a new meal plan or a stricter diet. It's learning to approach food from an abundance mindset instead of a scarcity one. I know that might sound like soft woo-woo stuff, but the reason most diets fail has nothing to do with discipline and everything to do with the psychological response restriction triggers in your brain. The forbidden fruit effect is real, it's well studied, and it's exactly why every diet that gave you a list of foods you couldn't have ended with you eating all of those foods the second it was over. I walk you through exactly how scarcity thinking shows up in food, the all-or-nothing cycle, the language you use without even realizing it, and the self-fulfilling prophecy that keeps you stuck, starting over every Monday. Then I introduce my Add Don't Restrict framework, the practical tool I use with every single client to shift from restriction to abundance in a way that actually fits real life.  Plus, I get real about how this mindset works way beyond food, including how it changed the way I parent and how, on a recent 1:1 strategy call, I helped a client have a productive conversation with her husband about the mental load for the very first time. In this episode, I make a case that might sound counterintuitive at first: that the diets you tried between 25 and 35 didn't fail because you lacked discipline, but they failed because they gave you rules without ever giving you understanding. And rules without understanding only work under controlled conditions that don't apply to work trips, birthday dinners, or your mother-in-law's house on a Sunday night. I introduce my core philosophy, "learn it once so you can stop thinking about it forever," and break down exactly what nutrition fluency actually looks like in practice. Including two of my most powerful food math tricks I teach inside the Reset: how to quickly identify whether a product is actually high-protein and how to find genuinely high-fiber carbs using a simple ratio that takes about five seconds to check. These aren't rules, they're tools that put you back in control of your own decisions.
