Timothy was a filmmaker, environmentalist, and overall bear enthusiast. He dedicated 13 years of his life to understanding and protecting bears and was featured in numerous talk shows and television shows. Tragically, Timothy and his girlfriend Amy Hugenard were both eaten alive by a grizzly bear on the night of October 5, 2003.
