Thrall, now the World-Shaman, joins the Earthen Ring, the Cenarion Circle, and the Dragon Aspects beneath Nordrassil in an attempt to heal the damage left by Deathwing’s Cataclysm. But the ritual is shattered when Fandral Staghelm returns as a Druid of the Flame, tearing Thrall’s spirit across the elemental planes. To save him, Aggra must follow him through doubt, desire, patience, fury, and bring Go’el back before the Firelands claims him forever. But Thrall’s rescue is only the beginning. As Leyara, Alysrazor, and the Druids of the Flame strike at Hyjal, Malfurion Stormrage and the Guardians open the Molten Front, carrying the war into Ragnaros’s own realm. There, the campaign pushes through flame, grief, betrayal, and the armies of the Firelord, until Azeroth reaches Sulfuron Keep itself. This is the story of Elemental Bonds, the Firelands Invasion, and the raid where Ragnaros finally falls. This is Where Fire Dies.

But after Deathwing’s return, the mountain is under siege again, and this time the threat is fire. As the hero arrives through the Emerald Portal, Deathwing circles Sulfuron Spire and breathes flame into the lava below. Ragnaros rises into Azeroth with one command: By fire be purged!!! Malfurion, Ysera, and the Guardians of Hyjal scramble to hold the World Tree while Twilight’s Hammer agents stir the elements, fire elementals pour across the battlefield, and Baron Geddon returns from Molten Core to continue the Firelord’s war. But Hyjal is not defenseless... And one by one, the gods of the wild will awaken...

The Twilight’s Hammer is stealing eggs, corrupting dragons, and feeding Deathwing’s war machine. Then Alexstrasza arrives. The Life-Binder comes to face Deathwing, the monster who was once Neltharion, and declares that he must be destroyed. But the battle does not end cleanly.
