Description

The main message of Student Weekend is that we should be “anchors” for the next generation by sharing how God has been faithful in our own lives, while also encouraging young people to confidently move toward their future. Psalm 71 shows us the importance of remembering and telling others what God has done, while Numbers 6 gives us the blessing of God’s provision and protection, favor and grace, and peace. The Israelites were in an uncertain “in-between” season, much like students who are moving from one stage of life to another, but God promised that His presence would remain with them. The message encourages adults to support, pray for, guide, and bless students so they know they are loved by God and have people who will help them when they make mistakes. Ultimately, we are called to pass down our stories of God’s faithfulness, invest in the next generation, and bless them so they can go into the world with faith, courage, and confidence in God.

Timberline Windsor | Feed My Soul: Psalm 118 Part 1 | Jeff Lucas

The sermon on Psalm 118 emphasizes how Jesus "fed His soul" by singing this psalm at the Last Supper before facing the cross, showing that believers can also strengthen their souls through God's Word. It highlights four main lessons: first, God is our vital helper who gives strength and guidance during life's hardest moments; second, Jesus, the rejected cornerstone, is the foundation of our lives, and through Him we are deeply loved and favored by God; third, practicing gratitude transforms both our hearts and minds, as believers are called to give thanks in every circumstance because God's steadfast love never ends; and fourth, because of Jesus' resurrection, death has been defeated, giving Christians lasting hope even in times of grief. The sermon concludes by encouraging listeners to make a personal decision to follow Jesus, live with confidence in God's love, cultivate thankfulness, and find comfort in the promise of eternal life through Christ.

Timberline Windsor | Feed My Soul: Psalm 119- Home Is Where the Heart Is | Dick Foth

The sermon "Home Is Where the Heart Is" teaches that while we may have many physical homes, our true home is found in God's heart through His Word. Using Psalm 119 as the foundation, the message explains that Scripture reveals God's character and provides practical guidance for everyday life by offering wisdom, purity, comfort, freedom, direction, and strength to overcome sin. The pastor emphasizes that God's Word is not merely a set of rules but a reflection of His heart that transforms us from the inside out. The sermon also highlights the importance of memorizing Scripture and pairing it with music, showing how songs help God's truth remain in our hearts and reminding us that God delights in His people. Ultimately, the message encourages believers to find their sense of belonging, purpose, and security by living according to God's Word, which leads them closer to Him and makes them feel truly at home.
