Cultural Properties (also known as Cultural Patrimony) are of great importance and significance to any community or society. Cultural Properties are of importance to archeology, pre-history, history, science and art. Cultural Properties helps to preserve cultural heritage of societies hence must be respected and protected. In the course of history, a lot of Cultural Properties had been displaced through different means and events. Authorities around the world have recognised the need for restitution of displaced Cultural Properties back to their rightful origins and have started promoting policies, legislations, laws, bilateral and multilateral agreements etc. to ensure complete restitution and deterrent to further displacement.
