Inside Warby Parker's Killer Customer Experience | Tony Robbins Podcast

Neil Blumenthal was one of the executives who launched the successful eyewear company, Warby Parker, in 2010. The company has been a massive success, in large part because their business model allows them to offer high quality eyewear at affordable prices. This concept attracted people, and the brand was able to provide something else that would quickly help their brand build an internationally acclaimed reputation — an incredible customer experience. At the core of the Warby Parker success story is the brand’s commitment to creating a masterful customer service experience. In this episode of the Tony Robbins podcast, you’ll hear a detailed account from Neil Blumenthal about the customer-centric strategy and foresight that was critical in establishing Warby Parker as a billion-dollar business. Neil Blumenthal and his cofounders found that glasses were ridiculously overpriced. After a friend mistakenly left a pair of $700 glasses on an airplane, they decided there was a gap in the market that they could be filling. Why should people pay ludicrous sums of money just to be able to see? As the Warby Parker founders began planning the company, they decided that customers needed to be their main focus. They felt very much like they were entering into a David-vs.-Goliath-style battle. There were already tons of companies successfully selling glasses, but Neil and his team believed they could deliver something more meaningful to people. The founders initially believed they could entice people to buy glasses online without ever trying them on. But as they asked test groups if they’d buy glasses this way, people couldn’t get behind the concept. When Neil and his team realized there was another way, sending glasses to customers’ homes for them to try on before making their purchase, they realized they could satisfy their client base and still make a great profit. The home try-on program became a massive part of Warby Parker and gathered them tons of incredible press. Within three weeks of launching, they hit their first year’s sales target. They did so well that they were able to donate one pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair they sold. In building the business, they wanted to help their customers obtain affordable, stylish eye care options, but they relished in also helping those around the world who were unable to buy the glasses they needed. By letting their potential client base have a say in how their business operated, they were able to not only become wildly successful, but donate millions of pairs of glasses all over the world. How to Rescue Your Retirement Plan | Tony Robbins Podcast

In this episode of the Tony Robbins podcast, Richard Bradley, Editor-in-Chief of Worth Magazine, hosts the podcast and offers up insightful information into the best retirement plans in America. Bradley is joined by Tom Zgainer and Josh Robbins of America’s Best 401k, and the three sit down to discuss the many misconceptions people have about saving for retirement. Presently, more than 90 million Americans contribute to 401ks, but still don’t know much about what they’re putting their money into. In fact, Bradley and his guests claim that 70% of Americans with 401ks are so in the dark about retirement that they don’t know there are fees associated with their retirement accounts. The most damaging thing about these hidden fees is that they’re chipping away at the returns people receive on their 401k accounts over time. In 2012, 401k providers became legally required to publicly disclose their fees upfront. This changed retirement accounts for the better, as people were more knowledgeable about what they were putting their funds into. Now, each participant in the plan has to legally receive a disclosure. But oftentimes, these disclosures can be hidden on the provider’s website, and are intentionally created to be unreasonably long and difficult to read through, ultimately making it difficult for participants to know what they’re doing with their money. One finance professional, Robert Hilton Smith, went on a mission to find out how many fees he was paying related to his 401k account. He found 17 different fees that were hitting his account. This could result in major losses for individuals. Say there’s a person in their 30s making $30,000 annually. Over their lifetime, this person is susceptible to paying up to $154,000 in fees alone. How much money would they have if this money were put to work compounding? How much would they have made? This is the difference between being able to retire and being afraid to. How do you avoid overpaying for underperformance? Zgainer and Robbins developed a simple-to-use fee checker for their brand. This tool empowers people to further investigate their options and compare their potential investments side-by-side. Zgainer and Robbins also encourage listeners to not be afraid about switching 401k plan providers, as this can often lead to massively increasing their savings in the long run. So, what is the best retirement plan? Find out for yourself by listening to the full podcast. With detailed information about the smartest ways to invest and the best 401k plans, this episode of the podcast is ideal for anyone looking to start taking control of their future finances and maximizing their potential. Why We Do What We Do | Tony Robbins Podcast

Why do we do what we do? You might think you want one thing, let’s say, a job in a new industry, but then when it’s actually in your grasp, you sabotage yourself. Why? Why do you pursue some things and neglect others? Why do you date the people you do, work in your field or, for that matter, choose to not do other things? It’s all because, subconsciously, you’re trying to fulfill your basic human needs. There are 6 human needs — emotional needs — that every single person on the planet has. This podcast dives deep into the basic needs of humans, as explained by Tony Robbins from his 2006 TED Talk, “Why We Do What We Do.” This talk has been viewed millions of times and was one of the first ever TED Talks. Every single person fulfills these needs in different ways. That’s because even though we all have the same six needs, we value them differently. There are millions of stories out there created by different people, but once you know which needs are driving someone to make the decisions they do, you’ll understand them completely. Whether it’s compatibility in a romantic relationship or for a corporate partnership, you’ll be able to predict their behavior and be able to evaluate if you’re compatible. The six human needs are: 1. Certainty. We all need to feel certain that we can avoid pain and also feel joy. 2. Uncertainty/variety. This is the need for spontaneity, to keep things exciting and fresh. 3. Significance. Who doesn’t want to feel important? Feeling valued is an essential part of being human. 4. Love and connection. Without love and connection, all the other successes you face in life are meaningless. By being able to form a connection and share your deepest thoughts and feelings with another person, you’re making yourself feel totally alive. 5. Growth. As Tony Robbins often says, “If you’re not growing, you’re dying.” Humans need to be working toward something, whether it’s growing a career, relationship or working toward achieving personal fulfillment. 6. Contribution. We seek fulfillment so we can ultimately give the world and the people we love something of value. Which two of the six needs do you value most in life? Do you crave certainty and significance? Does growth and variety appeal to you above all else? Depending on which two needs drive your thoughts and behaviors, your attempts to fulfill these needs will drive you toward your ultimate destiny. To find out more about the core needs that drive all our decisions, continue listening to this episode of the Tony Robbins podcast. En fantastisk app med et enormt stort udvalg af spændende podcasts. Podimo formår virkelig at lave godt indhold, der takler de lidt mere svære emner. At der så også er lydbøger oveni til en billig pris, gør at det er blevet min favorit app.
