The world was giving them every reason to distrust the system. He used that. And it worked.  This week, Aqueelah and Ashley break down the Hulu documentary The Cult of Nature Boy — the psychology behind why people join cults, why Black Americans were specifically vulnerable in that moment in history, and what the research says about the tactics used to pull people in and keep them there. Also Aqueelah shares something she's never talked about publicly. Something that could have gone differently and very left.   Two things can be true: the community was not wrong about the world.
