Tools and Resources for Suicide Prevention

Welcome back to our first new episode in 2021. I get to interview Brenda Williams Denbo, Board Member on the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Nashville, TN chapter. TW/CW: In this episode we discuss Brenda’s personal journey to losing her husband to suicide in 2012 and channeling her grief into action with the AFSP, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Nashville, Tennessee. Brenda is a kind, loving and incredible human being who has been through deep loss and she is sharing her story with us today. She also shares tools and resources for those who are struggling themselves or are concerned about a loved one or friend who is struggling with depression/anxiety and may have suicidal thoughts or ideation. Websites with support: AFSP.org DBSAlliance.org, NAMI.org, TSPN.org. You can find @afsptn on all social platforms as well. The Nashville Out of the Darkness walk will be held on October 30, 2021 at Two Rivers Park. Registration at 8:00 am and the walk is 9:00-11:00 am. Info on the Walks can be found at AFSP.org/Nashville and AFSP.org/walks Thank you for listening! Please share with your friends so we can help people to see that they are not alone.
