In this episode of the Unquenchable Fire Podcast, I sit down with Ironman athlete Andrew Langston, kidney donor and founder of The Iron Kidney Project, to talk about endurance, sacrifice, faith, and what it means to truly give part of your life so someone else can live. Andrew shares his journey from Ironman racing, to making the life-changing decision to donate his kidney to someone he had never met, to recovering and qualifying for the Ironman World Championships shortly after surgery. During our conversation, we also discuss Jeremiah 17:9–10 and the fascinating biblical connection between the heart, mind, and kidneys in the Old Testament. The Bible says that God searches the heart and tests the mind and in the original Hebrew, this word is closely connected to the kidneys, the deepest inner parts of a person. Just as Andrew gave a kidney so someone else could live, Jesus Christ gives us a new heart so we can truly live. If this episode encouraged you, consider sharing it around. Thank you! Bipolar Disorder - When Your Brain Betrays You but Christ Doesn’t [Testimony Podcast]

Timestamps: 00:00-12:09 Intro & early testimony  12:09-27:10 Mental health & being diagnosed w/ bipolar disorder 27:10-36:35 Brokenness through suffering 36:35-45:28 Are mental health issues a sign of a lack of faith?  45:28-56:47 Biblical approach to mental health 56:47-01:03:54 Fasting and mental health 01:03:54-01:10:55 Benefits of exercise and nutrition 01:10:55-01:21:46 Biblical mediation vs other Eastern religions 01:21:46-01:25:44 Ultimate physical and spiritual redemption is in Christ ________________________ What does the Bible say about mental health? Is anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder a sign of weak faith… or is something deeper going on? In this episode of Unquenchable Fire, I sit down with Josh Springer, my former 8th grade basketball coach, business owner, husband, and father, who shares his powerful testimony of being diagnosed with bipolar disorder after years of struggle. Together, we break down the connection between the body, mind, and soul from a biblical perspective and answer questions many Christians are afraid to ask: -Is mental illness a sign of a lack of faith? -Is mental health a spiritual issue, biological issue, or both? -How should believers think about medication, counseling, and self-care? -What does the Bible say about suffering, weakness, and trusting God? This conversation addresses the common belief that “mental illness is just a lack of faith” and replaces it with a deeper, more biblical understanding of how God works through both physical and spiritual brokenness. If you or someone you love is struggling with mental health, this episode will challenge, encourage, and point you back to the hope we have in Christ. episode Become a Child of God: Pursue righteousness, Break the pattern of sin, Embrace God's promise artwork

Become a Child of God: Pursue righteousness, Break the pattern of sin, Embrace God's promise

In 1 John 3:1–10, the Apostle John gives one of the clearest explanations in all of Scripture about the evidence of true faith in Jesus Christ and what it means to be a Child of God. In this episode of Unquenchable Fire, we explore three powerful realities that flow from being adopted into God’s family: The Pursuit. The Pattern. The Promise. The Pursuit of righteousness The Pattern of sin being broken through the power of the Holy Spirit The Promise of Jesus, God's own Son John begins with an incredible declaration: This episode dives deep into the hope of the Gospel, the adoption we receive through Christ, and the real evidence of spiritual transformation that follows salvation. We also explore: • Why being called a Child of God is the greatest identity a believer can have • The connection between God’s Law in the Old Testament and Jesus as the Law-fulfiller • What true righteousness actually means according to Scripture • Why genuine faith produces a changed life • How the patterns of sin are broken through the power of the Holy Spirit “The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’” — Romans 8:15–16 This is the hope that purifies our past, transforms our present, and secures our future.
