Welcome to the We Are Uniek podcast, episode 3.
So, we've got a logo now! Pretty exciting stuff. We're not sure if it's gonna stick around forever, but hey, it's a start.
Oh, and before we forget - we're planning to do a newsletter thing. If you're into reading rather than listening to us ramble for 20-30 minutes, keep an eye out for that.
Now, onto the main event - we've got this cool new idea called ShipMyApp. It's all about making it easier for people to get their apps out there in the world.
When you're building an app, it's not just about coding the cool features. There's all this other stuff you gotta do before you can actually ship it to the app store. Analytics, paywalls, database setup - it's a whole thing. ShipMyApp is our way of helping folks skip past all that boring setup and get straight to the good stuff.
We're thinking of targeting two main groups here:
1. Indie developers: These are the solo acts, the bedroom coders. They need something simple and cheap - we're talking maybe $100-$200.
2. Startups: These guys need more bells and whistles, and they've usually got a bit more cash to splash. We might charge them somewhere in the $10k-$20k range.
We got pretty deep into the tech weeds at one point - talking about abstraction layers and CI/CD pipelines. If that's your jam, you'll love that part of the episode.
Oh, and get this - turns out there are already some similar products out there for iOS. Who knew? But we reckon there's still room for us, especially if we expand into Android, React Native, and Flutter down the line.
We're super stoked about this idea and we'd love to hear what you think. If you're a developer, what kind of features would you want in a boilerplate platform? And if you're a startup looking for some iOS engineering support, give us a shout!
That's pretty much it for this episode. If you want to keep up with our crazy journey, follow us on social media. We're @WeAreUniek everywhere - Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Apple Podcast and Spotify.
Oh, and do all those internet-y things - like, subscribe, leave a review, all that good stuff. It really helps us out!
Catch you next time!
