About Whatever You Can Know.

Welcome to Whatever You Can Know Podcast with Tanya Savva. A place where spirituality meets special needs parenting, consciousness meets embodiment, trauma meets healing and a whole bunch of extra stuff to inspire curiosity about whatever you can know.My insatiable interest in physiology, biology and science started with cadavers in a wet lab in the year 2000 as a university student. When my life took an unexpected turn in 2009 and I birthed a daughter with a disability, my interest moved from the physical to the metaphysical, emotional and spiritual. Becoming a special needs mum unravelled me to my core. It wasn’t part of my life’s plan but hindsight comes with many gifts and I wouldn’t want my life to be any other way. I’ve since been many things in the health, wellbeing and healing space for over 20 years as a therapist, creative and healer. I’ve studied and shape-shifted from one thing to another, time and time again, following my gut, my inner voice and intuition. Despite the ways in which I’ve changed, throughout my conscious evolution, I have consistently been a special needs mother, a student, a writer and deeply curious. I’ve supported many people to ignite radical self responsibility, awaken awareness, release unconscious limitations and reconnect with purpose and presence. Just as my daughter did for me. As life thrusts its unexpectedness against me, I choose to loosen my grip on the illusion of control, and allow myself to be swept up in the magic of life’s unfolding. So here we are, you and me, on a podcast, where I share an amalgamation of what is real, what is true, what is current and what I know. This is not a self help space. But you may see yourself in my muse, and I hope that awakens an insatiable interest in you, too. Welcome to Whatever You Can Know — your home for what’s real, right now.

EP 30 | What I learnt about our pup and my anger, from a kinesiology session

In this episode I share a little about what kinesiology is, how it works and what it aims to do. I share a story about what I discovered about our pup, Figgy, during a kinesiology session recently. Figgy was chosen to become an assistance dog for my daughter who is blind, autistic, intellectually delayed and anxious. We discovered some things about how she feels about being a dog, how she felt about leaving her mum and litter at 8 weeks of age, and her core belief about herself in this life time.  I also share what I discovered about the uncontrollable anger I’ve been feeling since Figgy came into our world. And I’ll give you a little secret – it’s not my anger!  If you’re a hard-core sceptic and don’t really believe in any of this energy and emotional work, well, to be frank, I’m surprised you’re even here! But I do implore you to listen because it is pretty fascinating and makes for a great story, even if you think I’m a little bit of a cray cray woo woo witchy girl. EP 29 | We got a puppy and I've hated every moment of it

In this episode I share the very real, deep and honest truth about how I've really struggled, and dare I say, absolutely hated, the experience over the past 6 weeks of having a puppy in mine and my daughter's life. I share what I've learnt about my self through this process, the healing of the emotional trauma of being a single special needs mother that's been triggered by our puppy's presence, and what I've hated about it.  I offer some insight into my view on the lack of authenticity on social media and how damaging that can be because there's no real representation of the struggles I've experienced as a first time puppy owner.  I share some of the things that have kept me going through this time and how my spiritual teachings and practices have allowed me to see and know that everything is happening in divine timing, and, despite the hardship and emotional turmoil I've been in, everything is going to be okay Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2455547/support] Connect with Tanya: Website [https://www.tanyasavva.com/] Substack [https://tanyasavva.substack.com/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/tanya.savva] This episode was recorded on Dharug Country and I acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians of this land.

EP 28 | I wrote a memoir

In this episode, I am reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 16th April 2026. I share a story about the journal I bought over a decade ago to write my memoir in, and how, 10 years on, I can finally say “I wrote a memoir!” I also share some interesting physical symptoms that presented on the morning I was due to send my book out in the world to agents and publishers, and how memories from my childhood and early parenting journey was impacting on me feeling really good about sending my book out into the world.  Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2455547/support] Connect with Tanya: Website [https://www.tanyasavva.com/] Substack [https://tanyasavva.substack.com/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/tanya.savva] This episode was recorded on Dharug Country and I acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians of this land.

EP 27 | Ask and you shall receive

In this episode, I'm reading a post I am shared on Substack on the 14th March 2026. I talk about how the beliefs I created as a child to feel safe, shaped me into a resilient, self-reliant, helpful and independent adult who was too afraid to ask for help, in fear of being rejected.  And how a recent cry for help to alleviate the financial burden of purchasing and training an assistance dog for my daughter, who is blind, autistic and anxious, did the very opposite.  If you feel called to support Mackenzie and Figgy’s journey, you can do so here:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-kenzie-get-her-therapy-dog Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2455547/support] Connect with Tanya: Website [https://www.tanyasavva.com/] Substack [https://tanyasavva.substack.com/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/tanya.savva] This episode was recorded on Dharug Country and I acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional custodians of this land.

EP 26 | Help Kenzie Get a Therapy Dog 🐶

In this episode I’m reading a post I shared on substack on 17th feb 2026. This is a  vulnerable and somewhat uncomfortable giant cry for help.  If you’ve been following me for a long (or even short) time, you’ll know that my daughter, Mackenzie has a disability and the impact of her multi-faceted diagnosis is layered in the most beautiful and complex.  I’m sharing some insight and reasoning into a big decision we are making as a family - getting a dog that will be trained as a therapy assistance animal - and to achieve the outcome, we need you.
