In this episode of Women’s History Matters, we are diving deep into the life of Lee Ellen Ford. Her story has been untold to the public, until now. Lee Ford was an incredible woman, who would go on to become a scientist, professor, writer, guide dog breeder, lawyer, aide to the Governor, fierce advocate for equal rights, and more. She faced many discriminations during her life, including when she earned her law degree at age 55.
Because this is a pilot and test episode, please be patient with me as your host who is brand new to podcasting. All the documents of Lee Ford’s life used in my research can be found at the Indiana Historical Society Archives, her archive catalog can be found here.
