Psalm 1: The Tree and the Chaff
What does a life rooted in God look like? And what happens when we choose our own way instead? In this powerful study of Psalm 1, Pastor Jonathan Hayes explores the stark contrast between two paths: the way of the righteous and the way of the wicked. Through the vivid imagery of a tree planted by rivers of water and chaff blown away by the wind, Scripture reveals the blessings of a life anchored in God's Word and the instability of a life disconnected from Him. This message examines: The progression of compromise: walking, standing, and sitting in the counsel of the ungodly What it means to delight in God's Word and meditate on it day and night The secret to spiritual stability in a changing world Why true prosperity is deeper than financial success The sobering reality of God's coming judgment How Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled the righteous life described in Psalm 1 Whether you feel deeply rooted in your faith or are struggling to find firm ground, this episode will challenge you to examine which path you are walking and where your roots are planted. "For he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season..." — Psalm 1:3 Join Pastor Jonathan Hayes as we discover the difference between being firmly planted in God's truth and being blown about like chaff in the wind. Subscribe, share, and join the conversation as we seek to live out the Book of Acts in the 21st century.

A Secret Date With Destiny
In this episode, pastor Jonathan expounds on a powerful moment from John 14:30, where Jesus says, “The prince of this world is coming—and he has nothing in Me.” On the night before the crucifixion, in a quiet, intimate setting around a table, Jesus reveals a profound truth: Satan has no claim on Him—no sin, no debt, no foothold. And yet, He willingly goes to the cross. We also address an often-overlooked detail in the Gospel accounts. While the Synoptics associate the Last Supper with Passover, John makes it clear the crucifixion happens before the Passover meal. That matters. It shows that Jesus fulfills Passover at the cross—not at the table. So what is the Lord’s Supper? Not a continuation of Passover—but a covenant meal. When Jesus says in Luke 22:20, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood,” He is establishing something new—an ongoing relationship grounded in His sacrifice. At the cross, the Lamb dies. At the table, the covenant is shared. And the reason it works is this: He had nothing in Him—so He could take everything from us.
When Prophecy Becomes History
What if I told you Jesus didn’t just speak in riddles about the end times… He predicted history down to the very year? On this episode, we dive into the Olivet Discourse—His prophecy from the Mount of Olives—and uncover how Jerusalem’s destruction in AD 70 proves His words true. If Christ was right then, can we trust Him today? Stay tuned.
