Descripción

Who is Satan? The Bible doesn't give him one name — it gives him many. And every name is a description of function, a window into exactly how the adversary operates, what his strategies are, and what he is after. In Part 3 of Satan: What the Bible Actually Says, we walk through the full list of names and titles Scripture assigns to Satan. But before we do, we spend time on what may be the most practically important section in the entire series: what Satan is not. Not omnipresent — he has a location and cannot be everywhere at once. Not omniscient — he cannot read your mind or know your thoughts. Not omnipotent — his power is real but definitively bounded by God, as Job 1 and 2 make explicit. Not equal to God — this is not a dualism of two matched powers. He is a creature. God is the Creator. The difference is not degree. It is category. Then the names. Satan — the adversary, the one whose fundamental posture toward you is opposition. Devil — the Greek diabolos, the slanderer who weaponizes words to destroy relationships and trust. The tempter — who always begins with something real and offers a path to it that bypasses dependence on God. The father of lies and the murderer — John 8:44's most devastating titles. The accuser who brings charges day and night, thrown down by the blood of the Lamb. The prince of this world and the god of this age. The roaring lion of 1 Peter 5:8. And the most dangerous disguise — the angel of light of 2 Corinthians 11:14. Every name has an answer. The name above every name is higher than all of them. 📖 Scripture references from the World English Bible (WEB)🎧 Calm, verse-by-verse format📺 Part 3 of 4 — Satan: What the Bible Actually Says 📺 Watch more Bible studies here: https://www.youtube.com/@BibleChapterByChapterStudy [https://www.youtube.com/@BibleChapterByChapterStudy]🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6MnjQf5YAsxCAhha7jCSGD [https://open.spotify.com/show/6MnjQf5YAsxCAhha7jCSGD]🌐 Visit us at: www.biblechapterbychapter.com [http://www.biblechapterbychapter.com] #WhoIsSatan #NamesOfSatan #FatherOfLies #RoaringLion #AngelOfLight #SatanBible #BibleStudy #BibleChapterByChapter #ChristianPodcast #SpiritualWarfare 🏷️ TAGSwho is Satan, names of Satan in the Bible, father of lies, roaring lion 1 Peter 5:8, angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14, Satan accuser, devil diabolos, what Satan is not, spiritual warfare, what does the Bible say about the devil, Bible study, Christian podcast, Bible chapter by chapter, WEB Bible, Scripture, apologetics, Satan names titles

How Do We Know the Bible Hasn't Been Changed? The Evidence Explained

How do we know the Bible hasn't been changed? It's one of the most common questions skeptics and believers alike ask: * Has the Bible been corrupted over time? * Were books removed from the Bible? * What do the Dead Sea Scrolls prove? * Can we trust modern Bible translations? * How accurate are the biblical manuscripts? In this video, we examine the historical evidence behind the reliability of Scripture. We look at: ✅ The thousands of New Testament manuscripts ✅ The Dead Sea Scrolls and Old Testament preservation ✅ Textual variants and what they actually mean ✅ How ancient scribes copied Scripture ✅ Why modern Bible translations are not translations of translations ✅ The truth about the so-called "lost books" of the Bible ✅ What scholars, historians, and manuscript experts say about biblical reliability Rather than relying on assumptions, we explore the manuscript evidence, historical transmission, and archaeological discoveries that help answer one of Christianity's most important questions: Has the Bible really been changed? Whether you're a skeptic, a new believer, or a longtime Christian looking for answers, this video offers a clear, evidence-based examination of the Bible's preservation through history. 📖 Scripture References: 2 Timothy 3:16 Matthew 24:35 Psalm 119:105 🔔 Subscribe for Bible Chapter by Chapter as we walk through every book of the Bible, verse by verse. #Bible #BibleEvidence #DeadSeaScrolls #ChristianApologetics #BiblicalHistory

How Do You Become a Good Father If You Never Had One? Happy Father's Day

I never wanted to be a father. I grew up with a cold, distant dad and spent years convinced I would repeat the pattern. Then I became one anyway. Now I'm an OFW working in China while my daughter is in the Philippines — missing the dinners, the advice, the ordinary moments a father is supposed to be there for. This video is for every father carrying something like that.We walk through what Scripture actually says about fatherhood — Deuteronomy 6's picture of a present father, Paul's charge in Ephesians 6:4, and the watching, running father in Luke 15 who never stopped looking down the road. We also speak directly to fathers who grew up with a broken dad themselves, using Ezekiel 18, Psalm 27, and Romans 8. And we speak to every OFW father loving his child from across an ocean.Provision is love. God is not limited by geography. And the cycle can break — in you.📖 Scripture from the World English Bible (WEB)Para sa bawat amang nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa — nagmimiss sa anak, nagdadala ng guilt tuwing Father's Day — ang Diyos ay nakakakita sa iyong sakripisyo.(For every father working in another country — missing his child, carrying guilt every Father's Day — God sees your sacrifice.)🎧 Calm, verse-by-verse format — perfect for your commute or quiet time abroad📺 Watch more: https://www.youtube.com/@BibleChapterByChapterStudy🎧 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6MnjQf5YAsxCAhha7jCSGD🌐 www.biblechapterbychapter.comWhat does the Bible actually say about being a good father when you are starting from a deficit—or when you are loving your children from thousands of miles away? Does Hell Really Exist? What the Bible Actually Says

Does Hell really exist? What does the Bible actually say about the afterlife, judgment, and eternity? In this episode of Bible Chapter by Chapter, we move past the cultural pop-culture cartoons of red skin and pitchforks to examine the literal text of Scripture. Interestingly, the concept of Hell isn't just a topic used by angry street preachers; it was spoken about more by Jesus Christ than by almost anyone else in the Bible. We dive deep into a careful biblical word study, breaking down the original Hebrew and Greek terms used in the text: * Sheol: The Old Testament realm of the dead and the grave. * Gehenna: The historical Valley of Hinnom outside Jerusalem used by Jesus as a vivid image for ultimate ruin and final judgment. We also examine key New Testament scriptures, including Jesus’s warnings in the Gospels, the sobering account of the Rich Man and Lazarus in Luke 16, the teachings of the Apostle Paul in Thessalonians, and the final judgment in the Book of Revelation. Finally, we tackle the profound theological question: If God is love, why does Hell exist? Whether you are a long-time believer doing a deep-dive Bible study, or someone asking hard questions about Christian theology, faith, and salvation, this episode offers a grounded, faithful look at what God's Word truly says. Scriptures Examined: Mark 9:43–48, Matthew 25:41-46, Matthew 13:41–42, Luke 16:26, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Revelation 20:15, 2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16.

Can God Really Forgive Anyone? Paul's Shocking Testimony (1 Timothy 1)

In this episode of Bible Chapter by Chapter, we walk verse by verse through 1 Timothy Chapter 1 — the opening chapter of Paul's first letter to his young protégé, written to steady him as he led one of the most difficult churches in the early world. Timothy had been left in Ephesus, a city full of false teachers more interested in myths, endless genealogies, and speculative disputes than in the actual gospel. Paul's instruction is not a call to win every argument. It's a call to stewardship — God's stewardship, which is in faith — producing love out of a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith. We work through four movements in this chapter. The contrast between speculation and stewardship, and what happens when teaching becomes about appearing knowledgeable rather than guarding something precious. The right use of the law — not as fuel for disputes, but as a restraint pointing toward the gospel. Paul's own testimony, stopping in the middle of practical instructions to remember his own rescue: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. And the charge to Timothy to wage the good warfare, holding faith and a good conscience — because some, Paul says, have thrust those things away and made a shipwreck of their faith. Have you ever needed to be reminded of your own story — the mercy that met you before you had anything to offer in return? Leave your honest answer in the comments. Why Doesn't God Answer My Prayers? (Why is God Silent?)

You have prayed. Not casually — with everything you had, maybe for weeks, maybe for years. And the silence has not broken. You are not questioning whether God exists. You are asking something harder: is He listening, and why does it feel like nothing is happening? This video is a direct, scripturally grounded answer to one of the hardest experiences in the life of faith — the unanswered prayer. We look at David's repeated cry in Psalm 13 — how long, Yahweh, will you forget me forever — and Habakkuk's identical complaint. We look at Job searching for God directly and not finding Him: if I go east, he is not there. If west, I can't find him. We look at the writer of Lamentations saying plainly that God shut out his prayer. And we look at the most important moment in this conversation: Jesus on the cross, quoting Psalm 22 — my God, my God, why have you forsaken me — experiencing, in His most important hour, the language of an unanswered cry. We also look at Paul's thorn in the flesh, the three times he begged God to remove it, and the answer he received instead: my grace is sufficient for you. And we look at Romans 8:26 — the Spirit interceding for us with groanings that cannot be uttered, even when we have no words left to pray. This is not a formula for making the silence end. It's permission to be honest about how long it has been, the company of people who prayed in that same silence, and the instruction Jesus gave directly: pray, and do not give up — not because the silence will definitely end soon, but because persistence itself is an act of faith God receives. If you are in a season of unanswered prayer right now, you are not alone, and you are not failing at faith. 📖 Scripture references from the World English Bible (WEB) 🎧 Calm, verse-by-verse format 📺 Watch more Bible studies here: https://www.youtube.com/@BibleChapterByChapterStudy [https://www.youtube.com/@BibleChapterByChapterStudy] 🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6MnjQf5YAsxCAhha7jCSGD [https://open.spotify.com/show/6MnjQf5YAsxCAhha7jCSGD] 🌐 Visit us at: www.biblechapterbychapter.com [http://www.biblechapterbychapter.com] #UnansweredPrayer #WhyDoesGodFeelSilent #BibleStudy #BibleChapterByChapter #ChristianPodcast #Faith #Scripture #PrayerInSilence
