Not your truth. Not my truth. God’s truth. From Genesis to Revelation, it’s one holy declaration: that the God who knows Himself, knows us, and knows the mess we’re in, has crafted a plan—not a patch job, not a suggestion, but a divine strategy—to snatch men and women out of failure, out of sin, and make them citizens of the Kingdom. Not just citizens—but worthy citizens. This ain’t man’s idea. This is God’s plan. And when God plans, it stands!” For more encouraging, words please go to biblicaltalks.com or listen to biblical talks podcast on your favorite media app  Support the show [https://biblicaltalks.com/donate/biblicaltalks.com] Have a blessed day, and thanks for listening! A Spotlight on the Scriptures: Proverbs 1:7: Beginning with Awe

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2023978/fan_mail/new] This is a Spotlight on the Scriptures: Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.  True Knowledge Begins with God To know a thing rightly is to see it as God sees it—to perceive its true nature, not just its surface. That’s what Proverbs is trying to teach us. It doesn’t just hand out wisdom like candy—it points us to the source. All true wisdom, all lasting knowledge, is rooted in God and His Word. Not in trends. Not in opinions. Not in credentials. But in the character and counsel of the Almighty. And Proverbs doesn’t just suggest we fear God—it commands it. Not fear like terror, but fear like reverence. Fear like awe. Fear like taking God seriously. And how do you do that? Not by checking religious boxes. Not by quoting Scripture without surrender. You take God seriously by walking with Him. By knowing Him. By being in relationship with Him. Because wisdom isn’t just information—it’s intimacy. It’s not just knowing facts about God—it’s knowing the heart of God. And when you know Him, you begin to see everything else rightly. That’s true knowledge. That’s holy understanding. That’s the fear of the Lord. This is a Spotlight on the Scriptures  Support the show [https://biblicaltalks.com/donate/biblicaltalks.com] Have a blessed day, and thanks for listening! Deep Dive: Song of Solomon; Solomon’s Search For the One

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2023978/fan_mail/new] Elder Michael Tolliver interprets the Song of Solomon as a multi-layered masterpiece that explores human marriage, prophetic history, and individual spirituality. He contrasts Solomon’s failed search for meaning in his other writings with the profound intimacy found in this "Song of Songs," which serves as a "holy of holies" for the soul. The text emphasizes that the dialogue between the groom and the bride mirrors the unbreakable union between Jesus Christ and His Church. Tolliver encourages believers to prioritize their personal relationship with God over religious routines and to tend to their own "vineyards," such as family and character. Ultimately, the source portrays Christ as a graceful Shepherd who restores his followers from failure and views them with deep affection. This spiritual bond is compared to cream mixed into coffee, representing an eternal and inseparable connection between the Savior and the redeemed.   Each month, Elder Tolliver offers a spiritually encouraging book to help you in your walk with Christ for any size donation. Sermon of the Week Charles Spurgeon: Why God Chose You

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2023978/fan_mail/new] Why were YOU rescued while millions perish? 🕯️ It is the question that shatters human pride and rebuilds the soul on the bedrock of grace. Why did God set His affection on you? Was it your intellect? Your kindness? Your choice? In this powerful message, we channel the timeless wisdom of the "Prince of Preachers," Charles Haddon Spurgeon, to explore the most controversial yet comforting doctrine in all of Scripture: Unconditional Election. We are stripping away the modern, "me-centered" gospel to reveal the terrifying and glorious sovereignty of God. This is not a message for the faint of heart. It is a hammer that breaks pride and a balm that heals the trembling saint. 👇 IN THIS SERMON, YOU WILL DISCOVER: ✅ The Great Lie of "Foreknowledge": Why God didn't choose you just because He saw you would choose Him. ✅ The Theological Battle: A clear comparison between the "begging God" of modern theology and the "Conquering King" of the Bible (Arminianism vs. Calvinism). ✅ The Scandal of Romans 9: Understanding why God loved Jacob and hated Esau. ✅ The Golden Chain of Security: Why your salvation is unbreakable and eternally secure. ✅ True Assurance: How to know, for certain, if you are among the Elect.   Each month, Elder Tolliver offers a spiritually encouraging book to help you in your walk with Christ for any size donation. A Spotlight on the Scriptures: Psalms 123:3: God’s Favor Outlasts Every Hater And Every Storm

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2023978/fan_mail/new] This is a Spotlight on the Scriptures: Psalms 123:3 show us favor, LORD, show us favor, for we’ve had more than enough contempt.  Favor in the Face of Contempt Though their enemies mocked them, though the nations looked down on them, God's people stood with confidence. Why? Because they knew something their enemies didn’t: God can flip the script. The psalmist didn’t beg for revenge—he cried out for favor. Over and over again, he prayed, “Lord, show us favor!” Because when God lays His hand on you, no enemy can hold you down. When God opens a door, no hater can shut it. When God says “yes,” every devil in hell has to back up and bow down. Favor ain’t fair—but it’s final. And if the Lord grants you favor, no weapon formed against you will prosper. No lie will stick. No scheme will succeed. Favor will find you in the fire, lift you in the flood, and crown you in the chaos. So don’t focus on the contempt—focus on the cry. Lift your voice like the psalmist and say, “Lord, show me favor!” Because when heaven says yes, earth has to adjust.
