BMO INVESTIGATES

Last Time - The B-MO in the Morning Investigative Team takes on the viral claim that McDonald’s is charging a one-dollar drive-thru “convenience fee.” After a “serious” investigation, the team discovers the fee isn’t real — but proposes something customers should be able to charge: The Counter Service Charge. It’s a sarcastic penalty for getting stuck behind people who treat the McDonald’s menu like breaking news, take forever to order “fast food,” ask what comes on a Big Mac, and only start looking for their debit card at the window. The story turns into a mock consumer-protection report for everyone trapped behind America’s slowest decision-makers — asking the tough questions, like how someone is still deciding when McDonald’s has been rearranging the same 11 ingredients since disco.
