For instance, the report notes that 822,000 new members were students, while 337,000 were involved in sectors such as agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries. Additionally, in the past year, 971,000 of the newly admitted Party members were women, making up 46.5 percent; and 213,000 were from ethnic minority groups, accounting for 10.2 percent. The report also highlights the expansion of the CPC's grassroots presence, with over 5.43 million primary-level organizations by the end of 2025. This marks an increase of 181,000, or 3.4 percent, from the end of 2024. These organizations now encompass nearly all subdistricts, townships, communities, and villages across China, playing a pivotal role in government departments, businesses, and social institutions. Moreover, the report reveals that in 2025, a total of 108,000 primary-level Party organizations, 583,000 Party members, and 165,000 Party officials were recognized and rewarded for their exemplary performance. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will confer the July 1 Medal — the Party's highest honor — on model CPC members at a gathering on Wednesday in Beijing, marking the Party's 105th founding anniversary. Xi, who is also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will deliver an important speech at the event, which will begin at 10 am at the Great Hall of the People. At the gathering, outstanding Party members, Party workers and primary-level Party organizations from across the country will also be honored. The event will be broadcast live by China Media Group and xinhuanet.com. On Monday evening, a concert was held at the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing to celebrate in advance the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. Xi and other Party and State leaders Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi and Han Zheng walked into the venue shortly before 8 pm. They joined about 3,000 people to watch the performance, titled Putting the People First.
