As a voting member of The Recording Academy (“The Grammy Awards”), Dria is a respected force in the music industry. She is a featured vocalist or has collaborated with major artists like Chaka Khan, 2Chainz, Rick Ross, Logic, TechN9ne, Lecrae, Meek Mill, Young Thug, Killer Mike, Big K.R.I.T, The Hoodies, Ali Vegas and Mobb Deep. She also creates theme/background music for Viacom, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, MTV and VH1. In addition, Dria is the go-to media and social music supervisor for her childhood bestie, tennis megastar Serena Williams, providing background themes for such ventures as Serena’s collaboration with Lincoln Motors. Dria’s love and commitment to her birth city is reflected in her past service as the Houston Inspira Storyteller for Kashmere Gardens and 5th Ward communities. Her voice was used to help address the environmental injustice which impacts those residents. She also serves as the Treasurer for the City of Houston, Music Advisory Board, which serves as the liaison between the local creative community and the City of Houston, to advance opportunity, education and support. Through her work with the Texas Chapter of The Recording Academy, Dria is a strong advocate for legislative rights of music creators.
