The One After a Two-Month Break

I review a book about exercise-induced arrhythmia that I mentioned a while back (The Haywire Heart: How Too Much Exercise Can Kill You, And What You Can Do To Protect Your Heart) as well as chatting about riding the brutal Six Gap Century in northern Georgia, exploring freezing cold Oklahoma City, losing my dog Dude to lymphoma, wandering around the vast expanse of Detroit before seeing Tool play an amazing show, and what’s in the cards for the future of the podcast. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/s/9950b4c/podcast/sponsor/acugkf/url/https%3A%2F%2Fanchor.fm%2Fapp --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/coffeeandcranks/message

eBikes, eSports, and the Future of Cycling

With big-name teams folding, an aging traditional fan base and a new, younger fan base that demands new forms of interaction and excitement, we should be looking ahead to the future of cycling, because it’s here. We’ll chat about indoor cycling, performance eBikes, Zwift racing, eSports, online national championships, live-streaming + an interview with Jackson Payer, the Supreme Leader of the Worker’s Party (President) of SEGA SORBA, which is the Southeast Georgia chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA)! Enter the Pain Cave (36 Chambers), a Six Gap/Three Gap Preview and Training Special

Yes, I ripped off the title of the Wu-Tang Clan’s first album (listen to it, for it will improve your life). This episode is an event preview and a training special. I’ve climbed aboard the Wahoo KICKR, temporarily resigned myself to the pain cave once again, completed the 4DP Full Frontal Fitness Test on The Sufferfest, and now I’m ready to train to conquer the mountains of North Georgia from deep within the hurt locker. We’re within two months of our annual, last-Sunday-of-September pilgrimage to Dahlonega, Georgia, where over 2,000 masochistic, Lycra-clad velo jockeys (just like you and I) will attempt the 31st edition of the Six Gap Century and Three Gap Fifty bike rides. Cyclists will be rewarded with Georgia’s most breathtaking overlooks and mountaintop vistas; however, the only way to the top of the mountain is to suffer in silence and daydream about the spaghetti supper waiting for you at the finish line. The Future of Cycling: A Preview

A brief preview into an upcoming series titled The Future of Cycling, where we’ll chat about crushing stereotypes, attracting the younger generations, making cycling more appealing and fair to women, and of course, the extremely controversial topic of performance eBikes. ***This episode has no podblog on coffeeandcranks.bike!*** --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/s/9950b4c/podcast/sponsor/acugkf/url/https%3A%2F%2Fanchor.fm%2Fapp --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/coffeeandcranks/message

La App va francamente bien y el precio me parece muy justo para pagar a gente que nos da horas y horas de contenido. Espero poder seguir usándola asiduamente.
