Descripción

Genesis 15:17-18 In today's church, false doctrines like replacement theology and supersessionism are creating dangerous confusion about God's relationship with Israel. These teachings claim that the Church has replaced or superseded Israel in God's redemptive plan, effectively canceling God's covenant promises to His chosen people. Such doctrines create pride in the church, distort Scripture's plain meaning, and weaken biblical hope concerning prophecy and God's future faithfulness. The foundation of God's relationship with Israel rests in the Abrahamic covenant found in Genesis 15. Unlike typical ancient covenants where both parties would walk between sacrificed animals, Abraham was in deep sleep while God alone passed between the pieces as fire and smoke. This demonstrates that the covenant is unilateral, resting entirely on God's character rather than human performance. God essentially bound Himself to bear the covenant curse if it was broken, making this a promise covenant rather than a law covenant. Both Old and New Testament Scriptures confirm God's unwavering commitment to Israel. Passages like Deuteronomy 4:31, Leviticus 26:44-45, and Jeremiah 31:35-37 declare that God will never forsake or completely destroy Israel. The New Testament reinforces these promises in Romans 11:28-29, stating that God's gifts and calling are irrevocable. This doesn't provide automatic salvation for all Jews, as personal faith in Christ remains necessary. However, it demonstrates that God's faithfulness to His covenant promises with Israel serves as the same foundation for our confidence in His promises to believers today.

S2 E23 Regime Change: Wisdom in the Walk

Colossians 1:9-11 In a world filled with conflicting voices and endless opinions, finding true wisdom for daily living requires more than casual knowledge of God's will. Paul's prayer in Colossians 1:9 reveals three essential elements every believer needs: knowledge of God's will, wisdom to apply it correctly, and spiritual understanding to connect biblical truth to specific life situations. Walking worthy means balancing our position in Christ with our daily practice as Christians. This isn't about our own strength or determination, but about allowing God's power to work through our weakness. When we read Scripture with intention and seek God's wisdom rather than worldly advice, we discover that true strength for living comes from staying rooted in His word and maintaining an active prayer life.

S2 E21 What is your Foundation? Guest Billy Sampson

1 Corinthians 3:10-15 Every believer will face the Judgment Seat of Christ, where our works and service will be evaluated for rewards. This isn't about salvation, which is already secure in Jesus, but about how we've lived after being saved. Paul compares our lives to building construction - we all start with the same perfect foundation of Christ, but we choose what materials to build with. Gold, silver, and precious stones represent works done for God's glory with pure motives, while wood, hay, and stubble represent selfish or prideful service. God judges by quality and motive, not quantity or size. The key question is why we do what we do - are we serving for recognition or truly for Christ's glory? Our works follow us into eternity, creating a legacy that impacts generations.

S2 E20 Regime Change: Writing My Epistle

Colossians 1:1-3 Paul's prison letters to the Colossians and Ephesians reveal the power of unwavering commitment to God's calling. Despite being literally chained to a Roman guard, Paul continued his ministry by writing some of the most influential letters in the New Testament. He wrote to the Colossian church even though he had never visited them personally, demonstrating that gospel fellowship transcends geographical boundaries and that we can minister to believers we have never met face to face. The Colossian believers faced multiple threats including false teaching that denied Christ's sufficiency, syncretistic heresy that blended different beliefs together, worship of angelic hierarchies, extreme ascetic practices, and requirements to follow Jewish ceremonial laws. Paul's central message emphasized that Christ must be supreme in all things and needs no supplements or additions to His work. He measured church health not by attendance numbers or programs, but by the visible fruit of the gospel in people's lives and their spiritual maturity. Paul's example challenges modern believers to examine what might be chaining them and preventing them from fulfilling God's calling. His commitment remained strong regardless of persecution, physical limitations, or difficult circumstances. He prioritized the spiritual welfare of others over his own comfort and safety, living by the principle that to live is Christ. This calls us to consider our own faithfulness to God's calling and whether we allow excuses, fears, or circumstances to silence our witness for Christ.
