Start consuming these foods to get all of your fat-soluble vitamins! DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9095536/ 0:00 Introduction: Fat-soluble vitamins vs. water-soluble vitamins 1:06 How to increase your absorption of fat-soluble vitamins 4:10 Vitamin complexes 4:45 Benefits of fat-soluble vitamins 9:30 The best foods to get fat-soluble vitamins 14:02 Understanding osteomalacia 18:09 Check out my video on the gallbladder! Today I’m going to cover the best sources of fat-soluble vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins are essential to help support a healthy body. Fat-soluble vitamins penetrate the cell membrane, go into the nucleus, and then connect with receptors that activate certain genes. Water-soluble vitamins are more like coenzymes or helper molecules that don’t go that far into the nucleus of the cell. You need fat to absorb fat-soluble nutrients. For example, you might add olive oil to your salad to extract nutrients. If you take a fat-soluble vitamin as a supplement, it’s important to take it with a meal or add a little bit of oil or fat to it to increase absorption. The absorption of fat-soluble nutrients is also dependent on bile. An unhealthy gallbladder or liver will diminish your bile and diminish your absorption of fat-soluble nutrients. Gut damage can also inhibit absorption. If you take a supplement, it’s important to take the complex, not a single nutrient. This way, you won’t throw off the balance and absorption of the nutrient. Not only do fat-soluble vitamins have a lot of amazing health benefits, but they also help you absorb certain minerals. When consuming foods rich in fat-soluble vitamins, try to get pasture-raised, grass-fed products. The best foods to get all of your fat-soluble vitamins: 1. Egg yolk 2. Cod liver oil 3. Fatty fish 4. Fish eggs 5. Liver and organ meats 6. Poultry fat 7. Shellfish 8. Cheese and cream 9. The FDA classifies this ingredient as GRAS, which means “generally recognized as safe.” Monosodium glutamate, also known as MSG, is a flavor enhancer. Studies have shown that it causes obesity, diabetes, metabolic problems, and a fatty liver in mice, so how can it be safe for humans? Monosodium glutamate overstimulates a part of the hypothalamus that regulates the balance of hunger and satiation. It prevents the utilization of energy and also affects fertility. The average daily consumption of MSG is 590 mg to 2330 mg. Some people consume up to 5000 mg in one day! Consuming carbs and MSG together accentuates its effects. Not only does MSG contribute to obesity, but it may also cause headaches, allergy symptoms, irritability, sleeping problems, and dizziness. Many people consume hidden MSG unknowingly. If there’s less than half a gram of MSG in a product, it’s not required to be listed as an ingredient! Foods high in monosodium glutamate include the following: •Instant noodles •Chips •Flavored popcorn •Canned soups •Bouillon cubes •Processed meat •Fast food •Seasonings •Salad dressings •Frozen dinners •Gravy •Appetizers •Flavored crackers •Canned vegetables Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Discover the signs you’re eating too much sugar. Number 1 will surprise you! 0:00 Introduction: The classic side effects of sugar 0:15 Sugar vs. carbohydrates 3:12 7 signs you’re eating too much sugar 4:59 The #1 sign you’re eating too much sugar In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the side effects of consuming too much sugar. Some of the well-known side effects of sugar include fatigue, brain fog, belly fat, carb cravings, and cavities. Is there a difference between sugar and carbohydrates? A carbohydrate consists of sugar, fiber, and starch. Starches are called polysaccharides, meaning many sugars or multiple sugar molecules connected together. Starches raise blood sugar levels significantly more than sugar. Starches like maltodextrin, modified food starch, and modified corn starch have a much higher glycemic index than sugar. Here are 7 surprising signs that you’re consuming too much sugar: 7. Reduced collagen Reduced collagen will result in loose, wrinkled skin and premature aging. 6. Chronic white tongue Candida from too much sugar will cause you to have a white tongue. You won’t be able to get rid of it without eliminating sugar from the diet. 5. Chronic sinus problems Most chronic sinus problems are caused by a fungus called Aspergillus that feeds on sugar. 4. Red or pink gums Red or pink on your toothbrush after brushing could signify a mild case of scurvy or vitamin C deficiency. High sugar consumption blocks vitamin C. 3. Low testosterone Low testosterone can cause erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, and difficulty building muscle. 2. Susceptibility to infection Too much sugar can weaken your immune system, making you more vulnerable to infection. 1. High adrenaline levels Too much sugar damages the cell’s ability to make energy in the mitochondria. To compensate, the body produces more adrenaline. Today, I’m going to share seven critical things you need to know about prolonged fasting. Fasting is very simple yet very powerful. Snacking is one of the worst things for your insulin and your overall health. Food is nourishing, but to heal your body, you might be better off not eating. Snacking causes hunger, weight gain, fatigue, and moodiness—among other potential health problems. Yet, simply not eating can create so many powerful health effects. Throughout history, many great thinkers, including Hippocrates and Plato, have even had positive things to say about fasting. Seven critical things you need to know about prolonged fasting (72 hours or longer): 1. Only drink water (2.5 liters), tea, and coffee—and take supplements (electrolytes, B vitamins, vitamin D, and vitamin C) 2. Take electrolytes (including sea salt) 3. Go very slow and gradual when refeeding, and avoid carbs, sugar, and a large meal 4. Don’t take apple cider vinegar 5. Do Healthy Keto when you break your fast 6. Understand the dawn phenomenon (your liver is making sugar due to insulin resistance) 7. Know when to break your fast (don’t stop when it’s uncomfortable—push through the transition phase) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting.
