Pharma meds were never designed to “fix” you. In this video, we’ll discuss some of the pharmaceutical industry’s secrets, the truth about prescription drugs, and the money-making scheme known as the US healthcare system. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... 0:00 Introduction: Pharma meds and US healthcare 0:25 Prescription drugs defined 5:18 Drugs vs. natural healing 9:10 Do prescription drugs work? 13:07 The problem with medicine In 1938, the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act redefined the word “drug,” giving Big Pharma a monopoly over your body. By this new definition, any natural remedy, such as a plant, herb, or food that helps an ailment in some way, can now be classified as a drug. In 1900, there were fewer than 200 diseases. There are now over 17,000! This has allowed disease to become a huge, profitable business. Drug patents are protected and policed by the FDA. This means you can not sell or profit from a natural remedy, even if it’s backed by legitimate research, without FDA approval. The following 7 natural remedies are not only comparable to prescription medication, but work better based on randomized control studies: •St. John’s wort has proven better than SSRIs for depression •Red yeast rice is more effective than statins •Black cohosh is better than hormone replacement therapy •Berberine is more effective than Metformin •Lavender oil is more effective for anxiety than Lorazepam •Saw palmetto is better than Tamsulosin •Wormwood is better than Mesalazine Although there is credible evidence supporting these natural remedies, you can not claim they cure disease or reduce the risk of disease. Most drugs work by inhibiting an enzyme, blocking a specific biochemical pathway in the body. This does not address the root problem, hence why you don't come off of prescription drugs, because they're not fixing anything. When you visit the doctor, they will typically address your symptoms, largely ignoring lifestyle changes that could help. They will not recommend natural remedies because, by definition, they are considered drugs and would have to go through the FDA to be prescribed. The #1 Deficiency behind Aging Spots

Find out if a mineral deficiency is the cause of your aging spots! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: What causes aging spots? 1:40 Conventional age spot removal 3:11 What triggers melanin production? 4:44 Aging spots remedies In this video, we’re going to talk about the causes and remedies of aging spots. Aging spots are sometimes called liver spots, but they’re not necessarily caused by the liver. Around 90% of people over 60 have these age spots. Age spots are composed of melanin, the pigment that gives hair, skin, and eyes their color. Melanin protects against UV radiation, but we also need this radiation for vitamin D. UV damage causes oxidative stress, or stress that occurs at the cellular level. Antioxidants can help neutralize this damage. Oxidative stress triggers melanin and increases hyperpigmentation. Increased estrogen and progesterone during pregnancy, diabetes, inflammation, certain drugs, and stress can also increase melanin production. Melanin absorbs UV rays and neutralizes the damage by dispersing it through the body and turning it into heat. I reviewed some of the patents for age spot remedies, and they included natural remedies such as vitamin C, grape seed extract, zinc, licorice extract, and berries. Many natural remedies for age spots include zinc and selenium. Zinc is good for everything related to your skin. It’s involved in hundreds of enzyme reactions and biochemical pathways and is considered a very powerful antioxidant. Zinc can naturally lower excess melanin production. Zinc combined with selenium can be very effective against age spots. Selenium is a precursor to glutathione, one of the most powerful antioxidants. Selenium and zinc also protect your DNA. You can use a cream with zinc and selenium or take them as a supplement combined with other trace minerals. Breakfast is a Deception

What you eat for breakfast affects how you feel for the rest of the day. Discover the best breakfast foods that boost morning energy and improve cognitive function throughout the day. Find out how a healthy morning breakfast can significantly change your overall well-being. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: How breakfast affects your day 1:22 The problem with carbs for breakfast 1:30 Collagen Peptides 4:09 Protein for a healthy breakfast 4:30 Eggs for breakfast 4:53 What to eat for breakfast 7:48 The importance of sleep Fix your gut health with this free guide:    • Fix Your Gut with ONE Microbe What you eat for breakfast affects your ability to focus, your creative ability to solve problems, and how well you sleep at night. A carb-heavy breakfast promotes insulin resistance, which inhibits your ability to absorb fuel. The first place you’ll notice this is in your brain. Ketones are a much better fuel for your brain than sugar. To make ketones, you need to lower your carbs and sugar. You can also produce ketones by fasting. While fasting, your body must convert to making ketones for energy. Carbohydrate breakfast foods leave you hungry within an hour-and-a-half of eating. Sugary cereal is a poor choice for breakfast. Magic Spoon or keto-friendly granola without added sugar is a better option. Oatmeal is generally one of the most ultra-processed foods. If you want to eat oatmeal for breakfast, look for regular oatmeal without sugar. The best option for oatmeal is steel-cut oats, although they take longer to cook. Oatmeal and wheat are heavily sprayed with glyphosate, which has been shown to cause cancer and problems with your gut. Choose organic to avoid this problem. Replacing your breakfast food with protein such as meat, bacon, and eggs can significantly change your energy levels and cognitive function. Eggs and bacon are the perfect healthy morning breakfast. You can also add avocado or cheese. Cheese is very nutritious, a good source of protein, and has good bacteria due to the fermentation process. Yogurt is a great breakfast option. Choose organic Greek or Bulgarian yogurt without added sugar, or make your own yogurt. Instead of giving your kids Wonder bread, try a sprouted bread like Ezekiel bread. Add peanut butter for extra protein. Red meat and pork sausage are also great breakfast foods. It’s important to prioritize sleep! Losing just one hour of sleep can significantly affect your blood sugar and cognitive state. Why Your Vitamins Aren't Delivering Results

Does it seem like your vitamins aren't working? In this video, I’ll tell you how to increase vitamin absorption in the body. Find out how to take vitamins correctly to increase vitamin effectiveness. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: Do I need to take vitamins? 0:36 Low stomach acid and vitamin absorption 1:35 The best vitamins for absorption 2:43 Fillers in vitamins and supplements 3:16 Vitamin effectiveness and diet 4:00 Multivitamins 4:29 Vitamin D3 5:36 Vitamins and chronic illness 6:34 Increasing dose to increase vitamin effectiveness You may be wondering, do I need to take vitamins? Your body needs around 180 nutrients, and it’s often difficult to satisfy these requirements, especially for vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin B3. You can not always identify nutrient deficiencies in the blood. Low stomach acid interferes with vitamin and mineral absorption. If you have low stomach acid, you might also experience problems breaking down food with vitamin B12. Indigestion, heartburn, and SIBO are common symptoms of low stomach acid. Synthetic vitamins aren't the same as natural ones. Do not take synthetic vitamin B12 or B9! Some nutrients need other nutrients to function properly, so taking them in isolated forms rather than a complex can cause problems. Many vitamins contain fillers like maltodextrin that compete for nutrients such as vitamin C. Vitamin B1 is essential for breaking down sugar and carbs, so when you consume maltodextrin, it’s easy to become deficient. Poor diet could be a reason why vitamins aren’t working for you. If you’re diabetic, prediabetic, or have insulin resistance, vitamin absorption will be greatly inhibited. Fix this by going on a low-carb diet. Poor-quality supplements often contain calcium carbonate, which is limestone! Multivitamins with calcium and magnesium are poorly absorbed because these two minerals compete for absorption. Vitamin effectiveness is greatly influenced by dosage. The RDA for vitamin D3 is only 600 IU, but you need around 10,000 IU daily. If you have a chronic illness, you need therapeutic doses of vitamins, not small amounts. Always pay attention to the milligram dosage when choosing a supplement! Taking too little of a supplement significantly reduces vitamin absorption and effectiveness. I’ve done a lot of videos on cortisol, especially as it relates to the adrenal body type or adrenal glands. But I haven’t done a video on the foods that lower cortisol. That’s what we’re going to talk about today. Of course, there are a lot of benefits to reducing cortisol, but we’re not going to get into that today. Instead, I want to cover the foods that can help you lower cortisol naturally. Cortisol adapts the body to a stress state. It's important to note that the body doesn’t know the difference between mental stress and physical stress. A high level of sugar in your blood affects cortisol and adrenaline. In other words, consuming sugar, refined carbs, and starches keeps you in stress mode. On the flip side, the Healthy Keto® diet and intermittent fasting help lower cortisol and promote a sense of calm. The best foods to lower cortisol and stress: 1. Egg yolks 2. Organ meats 3. Nutritional yeast or sunflower seeds 4. Dark leafy green vegetables 5. Salmon and other fatty fish 6. Probiotics and fermented foods (sauerkraut, kefir, pickles, kimchi) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis and intermittent fasting.
