Kyle 'Impala' Lintern is possibly one of the most lovely human beings in the online world of adventurers - full of warmth and love and he has a ton of superb advice for anyone wanting to get into backpacking. His long-distance hiking CV is a sight for sore eyes, having walked huge trails in the antipodes and over the pond in the US. His vibe is full of positivity and he left Carl with a magical fuzzy feeling and we can't wait to get chatting to Impala again. His youtube channel is RAMMED with zany vids giving info on gear, trip reports, and frankly all sorts of stuff. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/c/Impalaontrail/videos [https://www.youtube.com/c/Impalaontrail/videos] And if you are looking to get into long-distance backpacking (Thru-Hiking) in the UK or elsewhere, then Kyle's incredibly helpful group on FB can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukthruhikers/ [https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukthruhikers/] Until the next time... Goodbye from FYA

What an episode we have for you here - Carl talks to Claire Maxted of Wild Ginger Running and we get into all manner of topics from Claire's Covid-19k challenge, to what it is like to realise that you don't have to punish yourself to be a great trail runner, and we also get right into the issue of diversity on the trails. You can find Wild Ginger Running at: Web: www.wildgingerrunning.co.uk [https://www.wildgingerrunning.co.uk] Insta: www.instagram.com/wildgingerrunning/ [https://www.instagram.com/wildgingerrunning/] FB: www.facebook.com/WildGingerRunning [https://www.facebook.com/WildGingerRunning] Perhaps most importantly on Patreon: www.patreon.com/WildGingerRunning [https://www.patreon.com/WildGingerRunning] Also, here is the link to Claire's Cape Wrath Trail video which was the source of much discussion in the podcast: youtu.be/m6FlWTgbJeU [ https://youtu.be/m6FlWTgbJeU] If you have any questions relating to Trail and Ultra Running all you have to do is Google it and add 'Wild Ginger Running' to the query. That will bring up any info Claire has on it. Get over to WGR and give Claire some much deserved support!

Simon and Carl have their weekly meeting and this time they've recorded it. In this meeting we discuss products (because we can't do adventures just yet) and we talk about potential collaborations that we would like to explore to bring th FYA some awesome stuff whilst at the same time helping grow some other outdoor gear makers' businesses. So stoked on that! Simon floated the idea of an FYA app which Carl thought was weird from the off but OH MY! It could be SO good. We also ramble on about premises for a bit - exciting times for all concerned. Enjoy and we will see you again soon. Feel free to add comments. We'll try to improve quality as things go along but for now, we're making do with Zoom and home broadband! :-)
