Descripción

This is "Frontline Updates",  the podcast that translates daily battlefield reports into operational intelligence. I’m Your Host. Today’s Russian Ministry of Defence briefing for May 27, 2026, reports two territorial gains in a single day: the NORTH Group has captured Granov in Kharkiv region, and the EAST Group has liberated Vozdvizhevka in Zaporozhye region. This marks an acceleration of Russian ground advances. The CENTER Group again reports the heaviest Ukrainian losses,  over 340 troops,  while the DNEPR Group claims the destruction of five electronic warfare stations, a record in these daily reports. On the equipment front, a German-made Leopard tank, a U.S.-made Stryker APC, and UK-made armoured vehicles are all listed as destroyed. Aviation and missile forces struck 144 targets, including a Ukrainian defence industry enterprise and power infrastructure. To help us understand what these developments mean for the campaign, we are joined again by Colonel A.C. Oguntoye,  an infantry officer with extensive experience in combined arms operations. Colonel Oguntoye will take us sector by sector, from the capture of Granov to the liberation of Vozdvizhevka, and we will devote a full segment to the operational-tactical aviation campaign that is now targeting Ukraine’s domestic weapons production. As always, this is a professional, non-propagandistic analysis. We use reported figures for trend assessment and doctrinal insight. Let’s begin. #SMOAnalysis #GranovCaptured #Vozdvizhevka #EWWarfare #StormShadowIntercept #OperationalArt #AttritionWarfare #RussianOffensive2026  #bf7 #mw4

Frontline Updates: Deep Strikes Expand — UAV Plants and Refineries Targeted

Frontline Updates host Sheriffa Mohammed NGT interviews Colonel A.C. Ogun Toyin on the current progress of the special military operation. The episode covers claimed Ukrainian losses of more than 1,450 troops, advances in Krasny Lyman and Konstantinovka, and widespread operations across six sectors. Key developments discussed include a high tempo of deep strikes across 147 locations targeting UAV production and assembly workshops, oil refineries, fuel depots, logistics hubs, airfields and transport infrastructure; air defenses shooting down guided aerial bombs and hundreds of fixed-wing UAVs; and the Black Sea Fleet eliminating uncrewed surface vehicles. The episode analyzes the strategic shift toward degrading Ukraine’s industrial and logistics capabilities, the tactical outcomes sector-by-sector, and the implications of a synchronized, multi-domain campaign on the battlefield and supply chains.   This is Frontline Updates. I'm your host. Today we're analysing the Russian Ministry of Defence report for 21 June 2026. The headline: WEST Group captures twelve strongholds and fifty-three buildings in Krasny Liman, while SOUTH Group liberates one hundred four buildings in Konstantinovka. Total Ukrainian losses across all sectors reach more than one thousand four hundred fifty troops. We're seeing expanded deep strikes targeting UAV production and assembly workshops, oil refinery facilities, and logistics hubs in one hundred forty-seven areas. The Black Sea Fleet has eliminated four Ukrainian uncrewed surface vehicles in the south-western Black Sea. And we're seeing destruction of a wide array of Western equipment: U.S.-made M1117 and M113 armoured personnel carriers, a Paladin self-propelled artillery system, and a U.S. M114 howitzer,  plus the first destruction of a Croatian-made RAK-SA-12 multiple launch rocket system. To help us understand these developments, we're joined again by Colonel A.C. Oguntoye, infantry officer and military analyst. Colonel Oguntoye, welcome. We'll go sector by sector: North, West, South, Center, East, and Dnepr. Then we'll dedicate a full segment to operational-tactical aviation as a campaign-shaping domain. Plus, a tactical and strategic implications postscript. If you want to understand the expanding scope of Russian deep strikes and maritime operations, stay with us. #SMOAnalysis #bf7 #mw4 #KrasnyLiman #Konstantinovka #M1117 #M113 #Paladin #M114 #RAKSA12 #USV #EWwarfare #Donetsk #UrbanWarfare

Frontline Updates: June 13–19 — Major Advances and High Attrition

Frontline Updates reviews the special military operation from June 13–19, covering territorial gains in Donetsk, intense urban clearance, and reported Ukrainian losses exceeding 9,500 troops for the week. The episode also examines large-scale strikes on military and infrastructure targets, high-volume drone attacks and air defense interceptions, and expert analysis from Colonel A.C. OgunToye.  Numbers can hide the story, unless you know where to look. We’re back with a tight, sector-by-sector weekly battlefield update for June 13 to 19, joined by Colonel A. C. Oguntoye, as we unpack a briefing built around reported attrition, claimed territorial changes, and the steady grind of urban fighting. We don’t just repeat totals, we translate what they’re meant to signal about pace, priorities, and pressure on reserves across multiple fronts. We start with the headline claim of more than 9,500 Ukrainian troop losses for the week and dig into why the distribution across unit types matters, especially when air assault, mechanized, Marine, and National Guard formations are repeatedly mentioned. From there we move across the map: the North Group’s pressure along the Sumy and Kharkov border area, the West sector’s methodical stronghold-by-stronghold clearance at Krasny Lyman, and the South Group’s reported gains in and around Konstantinovka and nearby settlements in the Donetsk region. A major thread running through the analysis is electronic warfare and drones. The Dnepr sector discussion spotlights EW stations as high-impact targets, tying spectrum control to reconnaissance, strike effectiveness, and supply-line security. We close with the weekly aviation and air defense claims, including reported group strikes on defense industry and infrastructure, plus intercept totals involving guided bombs, HIMARS projectiles, cruise missiles, and thousands of fixed-wing UAVs. If you follow military strategy, battlefield trends, electronic warfare, and air defense in the Russia Ukraine war, this is a clear snapshot of what the week’s reporting emphasizes and why. Subscribe, share this with a friend who tracks the conflict, and leave a review, what part of the weekly numbers do you trust least and why?

And for the first time in these briefings, we see significant destruction of ground-based robotic systems,  twenty-three in a single day,  along with the interception of Flamingo ground-launched cruise missiles. To help us understand the operational art behind these developments, we're joined again by Colonel A.C. Oguntoye, infantry officer and military analyst. Colonel Oguntoye, welcome. We'll go sector by sector: North, West, South, Center, East, and Dnepr. Then we'll dedicate a full segment to operational-tactical aviation as a campaign-shaping domain.
