The Chief Minister says an economic shock is around the corner of the sort the world has not seen for decades, due to the war in the Middle East. Fabian Picardo was speaking at a GGCA event honouring Workers' Memorial Day and May Day.   The Squash Association is gearing up to host the Gibraltar Squash Masters this week, bringing international players to the Europa Sports Complex. GSA committee member Mark Torres joins us soon.    It’s Mental Health Awareness Month and suicide prevention charity GibSams has a number of events taking place, with a focus on wellbeing in the workplace. GibSams CEO Brenda Cuby will be here to tell us more about the conference and the charity’s wider work.   And, celebrating 5 years of mum-dancing on the Rock, Nicole Warrick is holding a special anniversary event later this month. The 80s dance fitness classes are run with a firm focus on fun and women's health.  ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. We’ll hear from the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue Service following this morning’s fire at Ocean Spa Plaza. Residents were evacuated while crews dealt with the blaze, and thankfully no injuries have been reported. It's a jampacked show today - Special Olympics Gibraltar has returned from the Switzerland National Summer Games with an outstanding medal haul after a successful bowling competition. Some of the athletes and team members will be joining me in the studio. We’ll also be joined by the recipients of this year’s Youth Achievement Awards, recognising young people who have made a positive impact through leadership, achievement and community spirit. And this morning saw the presentation of the Brave Hearts Awards. The awards celebrate the courage of young people living with serious illnesses or undergoing medical treatment. Plus, Gibraltar’s first Green Bus Stop will be officially launched tomorrow. We'll also look ahead to the return of the popular Concerts by Candlelight series - St Michael's Cave will be illuminated by more than 1,000 candles for an evening of timeless music on 3rd June. . School children are being invited to come up with names for the new electric buses that will be launched over the next few months.
