In this episode, I’ll be talking to Daniel Schacht of Donahue Fitzgerald LLP. Daniel heads the firm’s Music and Entertainment practice and co-chairs the Intellectual Property Practice Group. He also regularly teaches Music Law at his alma mater, U.C. Berkeley School of Law and provides California Lawyers for the Arts with pro bono services and seminars on the law and business of music. We talk about his background as a professional musician, his transition to the law, and what to look out for when your client is entering into an agreement with a licensing agent. The Annual IP Institute for 2020 has pivoted to become a Virtual Annual Meeting, held on September 24-26, 2020.
