Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the price Iran pays for escalating the conflict will increase every night until the regime “comes to its senses.” Speaking at the ASEAN Regional Forum, Rubio claimed Tehran is once again seeking a deal with Washington but warned the Trump administration no longer trusts Iran to honour any agreement after repeated violations. Thousands of Jewish worshippers have ascended the Temple Mount on Tisha B’Av, with more than a dozen people detained for praying at the site despite longstanding restrictions under the status quo governing the holy site.
