Descripción

I wanted to close off this year with some positivity and maybe a kick in the butt. 2025 has been the hardest, most challenging, beautiful, insightful and needed year of my life. A lot of us are experiencing burnout, growth periods, feeling lost, isolated, unworthy in life, mental health struggles, grieving loved ones/past versions of ourselves, personal development, new chapters that feel scary and uncertain; and just - life. It's hard, it's all hard.  For me, I fell into myself and imploded. But this time was different. Instead of doing it on my own, to crawl back out - I did it with aid and support. So if you're feeling lost or truly unwell - here are my 6 steps to getting your life BACK. I truly believe in these steps and in combination, they really saved my life. The last 3 months have been nothing short of amazing, difficult, gut wrenching, and life changing. I know I still have a lot of hard work to do. I think that's the whole point. Knowing the work is never really 'done'. But feeling the progress, seeing the results, and sitting back and saying, "Look at how far I've come". That's true growth. It's not boastful - it's truthful, it's honest, hard work. It's humble. ***If you're experiencing thoughts of self harm please seek immediate help.***  And if you're listening in hopes of aiding a loved one who is struggling - you've come to the right place. Just know this is just a piece of it - professional help is the ultimate solution. We can't do this work on our own. Support your loved ones, hold them close.   Instagram: @manicandmedicatedpodcast_ Fan Mail Here [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1883728/fan_mail/new] Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1883728/support] https://www.instagram.com/carissapaige_?igsh=eG1wd2pvZmx5ZWFj&utm_source=qr [https://www.instagram.com/carissapaige_?igsh=eG1wd2pvZmx5ZWFj&utm_source=qr] https://www.tiktok.com/@manicandmedicated_?_r=1&_t=ZP-96es0ea4sTX [https://www.tiktok.com/@manicandmedicated_?_r=1&_t=ZP-96es0ea4sTX]

Detoxing Your Life | Healing, Confidence & Letting Go of Desperation

We’re talking about detoxing your mindset, relationships, career choices, emotional habits, and the need for validation. Learning to become more logical and less emotional, to healing your instincts, embracing normalcy, and learning who you are without distractions.  I also open up about the idea of taking a year away from men, rebuilding, and understanding the difference between intuition and trauma responses. If you’ve been feeling emotionally exhausted, stuck in survival mode, chasing validation, or trying to figure out what you truly want out of life, this episode is for you. Taylor Frankie Paul | Social Media Addiction | Cult Behavior | Child Abuse | Weaponizing Mental Health

Taylor Frankie Paul, the leader of MomTok and a glorified mormon thirst trap, quickly turned from the life of the party to online meltdowns, social media rants, police interventions, DV cases, and child custody battles. She's graced our televisions on Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives where we've seen the lives of some of the most popular influencers in Utah. Taylor is known for her spitfire personality, accountability, sharp tongue, and no nonsense demeanor. She was even chosen as this seasons Bachelorette, which was swiftly pulled a week before it was set to air, as soon as her infamous DV tape was released by her now ex-boyfriend, Dakota. Her timeline on social media has been very up and down, resulting in her recently crashing out online and lashing out at the people around her, very publicly. It's not only concerning to watch as a viewer and a former fan, but even more concerning to watch her fans (cult) support the spiraling and erratic behaviors. On this episode we'll be outlining observations of Taylor's time on social media, including: addiction to social media, parasocial relationships with her cult following, abuse against children/unsafe environments, weaponizing mental health/trauma, and more. This is not meant to diagnose or figure out what's 'wrong' with Taylor, this is commentary based on observations of behaviors that have been repeated over several years, both on social media, released footage, and television.  If you or someone you know is experiencing Domestic Violence visit: https://www.thehotline.org [https://www.thehotline.org] Fan Mail Here [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1883728/fan_mail/new] Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1883728/support] https://www.instagram.com/carissapaige_?igsh=eG1wd2pvZmx5ZWFj&utm_source=qr [https://www.instagram.com/carissapaige_?igsh=eG1wd2pvZmx5ZWFj&utm_source=qr] https://www.tiktok.com/@manicandmedicated_?_r=1&_t=ZP-96es0ea4sTX [https://www.tiktok.com/@manicandmedicated_?_r=1&_t=ZP-96es0ea4sTX]

You Probably Need Therapy | Stigma, Religion & Social Media

We're discussing therapy, emotional shutdowns, mental health stigmas, growth, and protecting your peace. You may enjoy venting to friends, but what happens when you're ready for feedback? Honest, no bullshit, feedback. Therapy is a two way conversation that has often scared people. We find it difficult to open up to 'strangers' because of judgement and shame. But it's brave to seek help and if you've ever wanted to grow, now is the time. Becoming self-aware is a superpower. The Discipline Of Being Single: Breaking Emotional Cycles

I think it's one thing to own that you have your own set of issues but it's another to sit with them and choose to change. I have set a lot of boundaries in my healing journey and one that felt hard was relationships. It's hard to stay single when you have low self worth and rely on outside validation. My hope is that if anyone is experiencing the unbearable cycle of codependency in relationships, where they feel empty, that they take a look at themselves and realize they deserve more. You need to make sure you're a whole person before you take on a whole person. Love yourself first, there is only one you.  Fan Mail Here [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1883728/fan_mail/new] Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1883728/support] https://www.instagram.com/carissapaige_?igsh=eG1wd2pvZmx5ZWFj&utm_source=qr [https://www.instagram.com/carissapaige_?igsh=eG1wd2pvZmx5ZWFj&utm_source=qr] https://www.tiktok.com/@manicandmedicated_?_r=1&_t=ZP-96es0ea4sTX [https://www.tiktok.com/@manicandmedicated_?_r=1&_t=ZP-96es0ea4sTX]

How Mental Health Affects Dating (Mood Disorders, Healing & Growth)

I'm back, hopefully for good this time. I've spent the last 7 months in therapy, a lot of therapy. I've learned a lot about how I show up in relationships, my flaws, missteps, short comings, whatever it is. But I've also discovered a lot of things I put up with due to it becoming my normal. Mental health is tricky and I don't have all the answers. Some days I feel like I'm Elle Woods, super intelligent, in a stable way. Other days I feel like Kanye West, super intelligent, in a not so stable way. I just know I'm on the right track. I hope whoever is listening can find comfort in knowing you're not alone in this life. Dating is hard. Mental health struggles are hard. Learning to be alone is hard. LIFE IS HARD.
