In this episode of the PSJA Tri-City Talks Podcast, we spotlight the PSJA All Abilities Walk, a long-standing community event led by the PSJA ISD Special Education Department that brings together families of students with special needs from across the Rio Grande Valley.  Taking place at PSJA Stadium on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 6 PM, this free event creates a welcoming space where families can connect, access valuable resources, and celebrate their children in an inclusive and supportive environment.  Listeners will learn about the purpose behind the All Abilities Walk, how it has grown into a regional gathering over the years, and why creating spaces of belonging and understanding matters. From parent resources to engaging activities for students, this event reflects PSJA ISD’s ongoing commitment to supporting every learner and strengthening connections with families across the region.

Listen to an inspiring conversation with 2008 PSJA High School Salutatorian and PSJA alumna Cecilia Corral, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of CareMessage, the nation’s largest patient engagement platform serving low-income populations.  After earning her Associate Degree in Engineering through PSJA ISD’s Early College Program, Cecilia continued her academic journey at Stanford University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Product Design Engineering. Her work and leadership in healthcare innovation have since earned national recognition, including being named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Healthcare list.  In this special episode, Cecilia reflects on how her experiences at PSJA ISD helped shape her path, the lessons she learned growing up in a low-income immigrant household, and how purpose-driven innovation led her to create meaningful impact through health technology. We will also hear about some of her latest work and the continued efforts to expand access and support for communities across the country. Her story is a powerful example of how education, opportunity, and determination can transform lives and communities.

Episode 42 - Don’t Fall Behind: Summer Dual Credit, Early College & P-TECH Explained

Welcome back to the PSJA Tri-City Talks Podcast. On this episode, we talk with Executive Officer for College Readiness, Dr. Linda Uribe, to break down what students and families need to know right now.  The conversation focuses on summer dual credit opportunities for 9th through 11th grade students, including the three available sessions and why taking advantage of these courses can accelerate college progress and reduce future costs.
