Andy's sobriety date is October 21, 2005 and his Home group is currently the same group that he joined when he first came in- the Morning After Group of Westwood, New Jersey, now both on Zoom and in person. AA saved Andy's life- He says that he can never give back to A.A. what’s been given to him but he can try one day at a time. As the result of the 12 Steps-being protected by god, at home with self, and connected to a community, Andy has moved from a taker to a giver- from a greedy soul towards having a servants heart. The journey has been generous- the job god has Andy doing is to engage another alcoholic in spiritual activity so he can live a useful life today.  Andy speaks to us on the topic of "A Room Without a Roof" Reco12 is an open-to-all addictions and afflictions organization, dedicated to exploring the common threads of the differing manifestations of alcoholism; sharing tools, and offering hope from those walking a similar path. Anna B used to be sneaky but now I'm just crafty. I'm obsessed with the number 5, the color purple, & strict routines. I have much gratitude for regrigeration, indoor plumbing, & modern medicine. Trivia podcasts, jigsaw puzzles, Bananagrams, & library books are my favorite distractions. Dislikes include all things politics, computers, tags on clothing, & places with no shade. For laughs I play with other people's infants and toddlers. I live in Amherst, MA.
