A specific medical condition, chronic illness, or terminal diagnosis lets you advance your death benefit while you're still alive.  You become the banker by spreading on your own capital. Borrow at 5%, invest at 10%, and you've replicated what commercial banks do. That's a 100% rate of return on the spread.  The illustration doesn't show the whole picture. The cash value column shows uninterrupted compound growth, but it doesn't reveal that the same capital can be funding rental properties, syndicates, and options trades simultaneously.
