The soaring love of God Speaker: Rev. Sophia Wong Scripture: Deuteronomy 32:10-13 S- God stirs the nest. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. —Deuteronomy 32:11 To stir the nest means: To shake / To disturb / To remove comfort/ To create movement Disruption is not abandonment; it is divine transition. 1. From Dependence to Responsibility (Growing Up) 2. From Singleness to Covenant (Marriage & Family) 3. From Stability to Uncertainty (New Seasons) 4. From Earthly Life to Eternity (Final Transition) What “nest” is God stirring in your life right now? O- God overshadows us. The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. —Genesis 1:2 His presence is not only protective, it is also purposeful. A- God assists us.The Three Phases of Growth Phase 1: Protection — (Foundation Stage) Phase 2: Stirring — (Growth & Stretching Stage Phase 3: Soaring — (Maturity & Impact Stage) Where is God asking you to step out in faith? R- God rescues when we fall. I carried you on eagles’ wings. —Exodus 19:4 Real love includes: Discipline / Boundaries/ Wisdom

Sermon Notes Pulling the plank out of your eye Speaker: Pastor Timothy Sreedharan Scripture: Matthew 7:1-6 Judging Others 1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. 6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. —Matthew 7:1-6 I. Judge others in the way you would have them judge you II. Judge yourself before judging someone else III. Judgement without reflection exposes a lack of love How do we live this out? - Reflection - Community - Recognition of sin - Appreciation for the grace Reflection: - In what way is God inviting you to slow down & examine the plank in your eye? - Is there a person God is inviting you to talk about the speck in their eye?

I. God tends to call and build up the unlikeliest of leaders (1:10-15) II. A Courageous Community take time to mature and grow (1:16-18) III. God can even work through the most unlikely of people to en-courage His people (2:1-24) The 4 Strikes Against Rahab 5 Qualities Rahab Exemplified CONCLUSION Who might be God asking you to talk to outside your social circle or who may not be a Christian yet?
