The Wolves are heating up

Chris Hine covers the Minnesota Timberwolves for the Star Tribune. He joins Steve to talk about the Wolves’ win over the Pelicans. They are now winners of four straight. Chris says the team is still trying to find its way defensively and has a lot to emulate in a certain other team down in Oklahoma. They also touch on the Clippers drama with their release of Chris Paul in the middle of the night earlier this week.

One bad stinky Minnesota Wild loss a month is okay

Jess Myers covers the Minnesota Wild for the Pioneer Press. He joins Steve Thomson to talk about the stinker of a game the Wild played against the Flames but its probably the worst they’ve played in a month. Jess blames early power play ineptitude. They also touch on the Wild keeping the Oilers offense in check. Jess previews tonight’s matchup against the Vancouver Canucks who are mostly a dumpster fire. They also discuss some college hockey and the World Junior Classic.

You sneaky geese and ducks are too late

Every Saturday at 4:07pm the meeting of the Steves commences. The cold is here and Carney is here to update on ice conditions. He pleads for caution to those who’ve decided to drive 4x4s on the ice already, especially with the snow that’s expected over the next few days. Carney opens up a can of Stop That about the use of forward fishing sonar.
