Whatsapp has made a statement that their algorithm is strong and there is no way that it could have been a leak from their end. Whatsapp privacy and encryption levels are very high and cannot be breached. This is a method in which the binary data of a cell phone is copied to get access to the data. All our data (chats, pictures etc) are stored in our device in a binary code made up of 1s and 0s and this can be recovered. Under 65B of the IT Act, it says that information obtained from a phone without physically tampering with it can be used as evidence, which is what is happening in Deepika’s case. Another question is how did 3 year old data not be deleted? This is because when you delete something off your device, it does not get fully deleted.
