Descripción

Today, we’re sharing about a great day we had at the beautiful Bok Gardens in Central Florida. What began as just a getaway turned into some honest conversations Gil and I had about our marriage and past hurts and walls that had built up between us. It was a powerful day for us. It’s so easy to get caught up in life and not take time to pull away and spend time enjoying one another. We were refreshed, we reconnected with each other as we got out of town, enjoyed beautifully maintained grounds and gardens, stood at the highest point in Florida, and discovered the history and legacy of a man who wanted to pass on to generations after him a gift to the American people, a gospel of beauty, and a refuge where visitors could escape the relentless pace of life.  It worked for us yesterday, and the Holy Spirit used this time to reveal truths to us, and we share them here with you.  Be encouraged to purposefully reconnect in your marriage, or any meaningful relationship you have.  God desires restoration, healing, and renewed intimacy, and no relationship is beyond His ability to rebuild. ________________________________________ You’ll hear about:  •        Intentionally reconnecting in marriage  •        The importance of communication and honesty  •        Hidden resentment and unmet expectations in relationships  •        Maintaining a marriage is like maintaining a house  •        Understanding and appreciating each other’s gifts and strengths  •        The danger of neglecting relationships  •        Humility, forgiveness, and restoration  •        Creating healthy spiritual and emotional foundations  •        Practical encouragement for couples in every season of life  📩 For more information about The Father’s House, email us info@tfhtc.org 🌐 Visit our website:  https://www.tfhtc.org/ 👍 Like, Comment, and Share this episode to help spread the message! ➡️ Follow us on Apple, Spotify, and iHeart Podcasts for more episodes.

The Bulletproof Marriage Pt. 8 Creating God's Synergy in Your Relationship

What really makes a marriage work, and how is God’s synergy formed in our relationship? Through a simple analogy of a car engine and practical, biblical insight, Pastor Gil and Liz discuss how God designed marriage to flourish when each spouse understands their unique role, values the other, and chooses unity over competition. In a relationship where a husband and wife aren't pulling in different directions but are connected, working together, and moving forward with a shared purpose, God’s synergy is created between them.  In this message, you'll discover: •        Why God designed husbands and wives to complement, not compete with one another  •        How unity creates strength and momentum in a marriage  •        Common attitudes and pressures that slowly disconnect couples  •        When things are working correctly, we have a responsibility to be reconditioned by the Holy Spirit •        Why communication and regular "maintenance" are essential for a healthy relationship  •        If a husband or wife feels unconditionally loved, it brings out the very best in their spouse. •        How unconditional love helps bring out the very best in your spouse  •        That the Proverbs 31 woman was not held down in her marriage relationship but loosed in the relationship to become all God created her to be. Whether you've been married for six months or sixty years, this conversation will encourage you to reconnect, appreciate one another's God-given strengths, and build a marriage that is stronger together than either of you could ever be alone. The Cost Of Disobedience

If we’re experiencing problems, tragedies, disappointments or lack in our lives, it is time to examine our hearts and lives and see if there is any place that we are not in obedience to the will of God. Could these winds be God’s doing? What happens when we know what God is asking us to do... but choose another path? In this message, Liz unpacks the actions of Jonah and King Saul to explore how their self-will and decisions compromised their obedience to what God had told them to do, and the effect on their life and the people around them. Because of Jesus and His triumph on the Cross, we’re provided hope and not condemnation when we may find ourselves in a similar situation. Discover how we should respond and the power of surrender and obedience to the will of God! In this message, you'll hear: •        Why God uses life's storms to get our attention  •        How compromise can slowly dull our spiritual sensitivity  •        What can we learn from Jonah's and Saul’s responses when confronted about their disobedience? •        Why our choices affect others around us  •        The difference between making excuses and truly surrendering to God  •        How obedience opens the door to God's best for our lives  Whether you're facing a difficult decision, feeling spiritually stuck, or simply want to grow closer to the Lord, this message is a gentle invitation to examine your heart and discover the freedom that comes from walking in obedience to Him.  Scripture References: Jonah 1; I Samuel 15:3-24; 31:1-6; Matthew 19:29 📩 For more information about The Father’s House, email us info@tfhtc.org 🌐 Visit our website:  https://www.tfhtc.org/ 👍 Like, Comment, and Share this episode to help spread the message! ➡️ Follow us on Apple, Spotify, and iHeart Podcasts for more episodes.
