But after meeting my husband and deciding I wanted a family, I realized I also needed to heal… I just didn’t know where to start. This conversation is for the Christian mom who wants to break old patterns, create peace in her home, and become more emotionally healthy, even when the process feels uncomfortable. Have you ever wondered why you know what the Bible says... but still struggle to believe it? In this episode of The Mindset Mom, I share one of the biggest breakthroughs in my own healing journey: learning the difference between thoughts and beliefs. Our anxious thoughts often reveal deeper beliefs we've unknowingly agreed with for years, beliefs shaped by past experiences, painful relationships, repeated disappointments, or childhood messages. Until we recognize those beliefs, we'll continue fighting the same thought patterns. I also share the powerful question my mentor kept asking me, which completely changed my identity and helped me realize I wasn't living as if God's promises belonged to me. You don't have to become someone else. Have you ever found yourself thinking: "Why am I still reacting like this?" If so, you're not alone. One of the most frustrating parts of healing is becoming aware of your thoughts, behaviors, triggers, and patterns... and then realizing you still find yourself reacting the same way sometimes. In this episode of The Mindset Mom, I share one of the biggest lessons I learned during my healing journey: awareness is the beginning of healing, but awareness alone does not create change. I talk about why old thought patterns often continue long after we've recognized them, how our brains develop automatic responses over time, and the practical process that helped me create REAL change. If you've ever felt discouraged because you know better but still struggle with the same reactions, this episode will help you understand why that happens and what the next step to real change actually looks like. Awareness reveals the old pathway. Repetition creates the new one. Just because you still notice old thoughts doesn't mean you're failing. The fact that you can see them now is actually evidence that healing is happening. One of the biggest shifts in my healing journey happened when I stopped agreeing with every thought that entered my mind. Instead of automatically believing my fears, worries, or assumptions, I started asking: 👉🏻 Is this actually true? 👉🏻 Or is this an old belief? 👉🏻 What does God say about this? That simple shift began changing everything. Because renewing your mind isn't just becoming aware of a thought. It's intentionally replacing it with truth. Do you ever feel like you're always preparing for the next problem? If you're a Christian mom who feels exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, or like you're constantly just trying to get through the day, you may be stuck in survival mode without even realizing it.  Maybe your mind is constantly scanning for what could go wrong. Maybe you struggle to relax fully. Maybe peace feels temporary, and no matter how much progress you've made, you still find yourself slipping back into anxiety, control, overthinking, people pleasing, or emotional exhaustion. In this episode of The Mindset Mom, I'm sharing the five biggest things that helped me move from survival mode toward peace, healing, and freedom. I share how survival mode showed up throughout different seasons of my life through anger, emotional reactivity, codependency, hyper-independence, guilt, control, and constantly trying to stay one step ahead of potential problems. What I didn't realize at the time was that many of those behaviors were actually attempts to create safety. I also share how health struggles became the catalyst that led me into personal development, mindset work, journaling, mentorship, trauma education, nervous system healing, and ultimately a deeper understanding of my identity in Christ. The answer is simple: 🩷 You are a child of God. That truth became one of the safest places I have ever found.
