In this episode I spoke to my good friend Georgia. You will know her as Georgie Rose, the founder of Georgia Rose Bikini and the MUA behind Georgia Rose Makeup, as well as our favourite CrossFit athlete and CrossFit coach. I invited Georgia onto the podcast as I wanted to hear her story. We talked about her bodybuilding days and how that led her to create a bikini and makeup business, how she made it through lockdown, her transition to CrossFit and most recently her stint in hospital recovering from a life altering injury that occurred when she was a teenager. In this episode I talked to the creator and founder of Cookie Box Co, Vick. We all know Vick as the brains behind the crazy not-so-dinky pies and the mouth-watering chunky hunks but most of us don't know how she came to be. I have heard America Ferrera's Barbie Monologue many times since the movie came out and I think its fair to say that her speech 'spoke' to most women. The “impossible” standards we feel we must meet on a daily basis. It was only recently that I heard her speech again but this time when she said "You have to be thin, but not too thin." I heard, "you have to be lean, but not too lean" and my mind spiralled into all of the expectations that are placed upon women who train. When I shared this on Instagram I was overwhelmed by the number of women who replied to the story, shared it, messaged me, liked it, reacted.. etc. So, I wanted to upload it here.
