Descripción

Clay does double duty on a couple of interviews while Tim simply listens - hard to believe, we know. But there is Clay's reminiscence of Upper Arlington iconic lacrosse coach Ted Wolford who passed away unexpectedly late last week at 66. He steered the high school to 16 state titles in his 25 seasons at the helm from 1992 to 2016, but had much more impact than just his 460 cumulative wins. Clay's interview with current UA coach Kyle Olson covers that. Clay also speaks with Memorial Tournament executive director Dan Sullivan on the eve of the 51st event, which, as he explains to Clay, makes it the 50th anniversary of the tournament that Jack Nicklaus founded on the world-renowned course he designed and built. It's local icons day!

Texas Tech Can’t Explain Away The Brendan Sorsby Mess | Tim May Show

The Brendan Sorsby situation isn’t fading quietly — no matter how many Texas Tech officials step in front of a camera to explain it. On this Friday episode of The Tim May Show, Dillon Davis subs in for Clay Hall and joins Tim to break down the messy, complicated and still-growing controversy surrounding Texas Tech’s multimillionaire transfer quarterback. Texas Tech officials tried to lay out their side this week, pointing to Sorsby’s gambling addiction diagnosis, NCAA eligibility battle, legal injunction, treatment plan and the university’s decision to stand by its student-athlete. But the bigger questions aren’t going away. Did Texas Tech make the right call? Is the NCAA equipped to handle gambling addiction in the modern era? What does this mean for college football, player accountability and the integrity of the game? Tim May and Dillon Davis sort through the cards on the table — and why this story still has plenty of hands left to play.

Stan Jackson Unfiltered: Ohio State QB Lessons, Coaching Life & Buckeye Bloodlines

Former Ohio State quarterback Stan Jackson joins The Tim May Show for a wide-open conversation on football, growth, family and life after the game. Stan looks back on his star-crossed Buckeyes career in the mid-1990s, sharing what he learned from competing at Ohio State, navigating the quarterback spotlight and watching Joe Germaine get his opportunity, too. He also talks with Tim May and Clay Hall about how those lessons shaped his next chapters — from coaching at Westerville North High School to helping grow girls flag football. And football isn’t Stan’s only lane. He’s also built a career in banking, proving life after Ohio State can take plenty of unexpected turns. Plus, Stan opens up about watching his son, Stanley Jackson Jr., walk on as a running back at Ohio State, what that means to the Jackson family, and why he has so much respect for Buckeyes running backs coach Carlos Locklyn. It’s Buckeye history, father-son pride, coaching wisdom and real-life perspective — all on The Tim May Show.
