What does your Emotional Intelligence say about you?

What is Emotional Intelligence? Emotions are present in everything you think, do, and say each day on the job, in your career, and throughout your life. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is how you handle yourself and others. Your EQ taps into a fundamental element of human behavior that is distinct from your intellect and personality. It affects how you manage your behavior, navigate social complexities, and make personal decisions that achieve positive results. People who develop their emotional intelligence communicate more effectively, handle stress and conflict productively, are better team players, are able to navigate change, and also perform at a higher level. David Brzozowski, Senior Director of Training & Programming, TalentSmartEQ As the Senior Director of Training and Program Delivery at TalentSmartEQ, David offers over 20 years of experience in leadership development, on-boarding, facilitation, diversity and inclusion, emotional intelligence, personality assessments, and organizational development. He has led Learning and Development teams with General Nutrition Centers, Dollar General Corporation and Landry’s Restaurants. In addition to his role as a Senior Director of Training, David is also a master facilitator of all TalentSmartEQ’s training programs and is certified to facilitate TalentSmartEQ’s Mastering Emotional Intelligence Train-the-Trainer program. An executive coach for TalentSmart, David takes on coaching assignments with C-Suite leaders globally and helps leaders improve and understand their EQ one-on-one. David is the host of TalentSmartEQ’s ‘Emotional Intelligence for Your Everyday Life’ on the popular monthly LinkedIn Live series. Through David’s facilitation, he brings real world application with his diverse background in the retail, restaurant, and corporate worlds where he connects emotional intelligence to everyday affairs. His change management and multi-generational expertise provide an additional layer of understanding in bringing a connection with EQ. David’s accolades include being a member of Dollar Generals Top 125 Training Team for 5 consecutive years; Recipient of Training Magazines Top 125 Best New Initiatives; a finalist for the Greater Nashville SHRM HR Associate of the Year; and Nashville’s LGBTQ+ Business Leader of the Year while also being named to Nashville’s Unite Magazine 15 Most Influential LGBTQ Men. Prior to David’s current career in Learning and Development and Thought Leadership, he was an actor based in both New York City and Los Angeles.
