The NIH provides the majority of funding for scientific research in all areas of medicine and the proposed budget cuts will drastically effect research now and in the future. President-Elect Carla M. Davis, MD, FAAAAI, discusses a new task force established by the AAAAI Board of Directors that will work to bring more attention to this issue and encourage all of us in allergy/immunology to take action. Genetic testing in our patients with Inborn Errors of Immunity is becoming more common and this episode will help listeners better understand how to incorporate this into their practice. MARRVEL - https://marrvel.org/ This is a website that searches multiple databases for a gene or variant and helps to determine the likelihood that a variant might cause disease.
