Adam's Daily Bread
This is part of a year long reading of the Bible chronologically in a harmonized format. Psalms 102:1-28 - The psalmist pours out affliction before the Lord, feeling life fading like smoke and grass. - He contrasts his distress with God's eternal reign and pleads for Zion's restoration for future generations. Mark 15:24-32 - Soldiers crucify Jesus, divide his garments by lot, and mock him along with passersby and leaders. - The two criminals crucified with him also insult him as he hangs on the cross. Luke 23:33-43 - Jesus is crucified between two criminals; he prays for their forgiveness while soldiers cast lots for his clothes. - One criminal repents and Jesus promises him paradise that very day.
