PART 2 OF A 3-PART SERIES ABOUT GAMING AT HOME. I’ve found certain types of gamers tend to play more at their own homes, or their friends’ places: narrative gamers, the #funhammer beer-and-pretzels crowd, tight-knit gaming groups of close friends, women and people of color that might not feel comfortable at shops, etc. I rarely hear any mention of the special circumstances and situations that this type of gaming gives rise to, so I set out to record a few episodes to explore the topic. In this, the second part, I lay out a few things to think about before you host your next game night. Some of it’s obvious, but some is not.
