Hey, I am Lori Atkins. I am a certified OBGYN with FĒNOM Women's Care in Fort Worth, Texas. Today, I really felt compelled to talk with you a little bit about current events with reproductive rights and women.

Hi, I'm Dr. Lori Atkins. I am a certified OBGYN with FĒNOM Women's Care. And I'm here with my one of my partners Dr. Catherine Bevan today on May 15th, 2022. Our focus is actually going to be on VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean delivery), but I want you to hear us now that there's no way that we are not feeling, addressing, and dealing with the oppression on women's rights, women's care, healthcare, the disparity in healthcare and all that's on all our minds more and more. These are topics that are in us, on us, and significantly heavy. With that said, we will shift into discuss the vaginal birth after cesarean delivery for today's discussion.

I'm going to talk with you about self care and burnout.

Welcome to the FĒNOM Women's Care Podcast Today, Dr. Catherine Bevan and Dr. Alicia Larsen with FĒNOM Women's Care are going to talk with you about tackling some of those unexpected things that come up during pregnancy and even some recommended gear from our experience.

Dr. Lori Atkins of FĒNOM on Cesarean Sections. Good morning. I'm Lori Atkins with FĒNOM Women's Care. Cesarean delivery is probably the most common surgery done in the United States, and it's also pretty feared by a lot of women when they're pregnant. April happens to be Cesarean awareness month. So with that in mind, I thought I would just talk with you about it both generally and specifically. In the end, I really look forward to any questions that you might have.
