In this episode, we ask five teachers the same three questions on how they feel about returning to school this fall. We have been working on this episode for the last couple months and are excited to hear what everyone has to say.

In this episode we discuss the coronavirus’ impact on schools reopening and ways we can try to remain when heading back to school. Later in the pod you’ll hear our interviews with two people who are much closer to being experts on this subject than us: Dr. Mark Conant and Bio Teacher Bob Kuhn. They discuss best practices for staying safe during this coronavirus surge, wearing masks, and where to find the most credible information.

In this episode we discuss how some teachers spend their summers traveling around the world, how those travels impact their personal viewpoints, and ways in which they use those experiences to better educate their students. This is a great episode for anyone who is longing for the days when we could travel freely. We also discuss some of the ways countries around the world are dealing with education in the Covid era and how recent social unrest isn’t just sparking change in US.

In this episode, we discuss schools and universities potentially opening back up. We then talk with one of Zack’s former students about racial injustice and how we all can learn and support the movement to bring about equality in America. Finally we talk with a school administrator and her perspective on how we as leaders can discuss with our students, colleagues, and communities the on-going need for societal changes. This is a MUST listen for anyone who is concerned with racial inequality and wants to learn more about how they can make a difference.

In this episode, we discuss a few positives that came out of this tumultuous week of civil unrest. Then we talk with two music teachers, Tyler Ehrlich and Will Alvarado, about the ways music changed their lives and how they are using it to help teach their students about being a musician, building a strong community, and integrating social emotional learning.
