In part two of our exploration of plant dietas, we start off by examing the rules and restrcitions and how these can help open us up to spirit world through the fragmentation of the ego. We then look at the potential implications of breaking the restrictions, and how this can lead to 'crossing' the energy of the person dieting. We then move onto to the formal closing of the dieta, and the subsequent period of post dieta and beyond, with the ongoing challenge of integrating the inner work in one’s day to day life. Finally, we consider the potential corruption of the medicine in modern ayahuasca centres, where commercial concerns can lead to compromises.

Factors affecting Ayahuasca ceremonies

The almost unlimited ways to prepare the medicine are examined, including the use of various admixture plants, as well as other physical and energetic factors that can impact a ceremony.
