The Sermon Series with Pastor Lawrence C. Barnes Jr.
JUNE 28, 2026 Please note: The recording begins shortly after the message started due to an unforeseen technical issue. Drawing from Mark 3:1–5 and Isaiah 54:1–2, Pastor Barnes reminds us that God often calls His people to stretch beyond the boundaries of comfort, fear, and past disappointment. Stretching is more than personal ambition—it is an act of faith-filled obedience in response to the voice of God. Just as the man with the withered hand received healing when he obeyed Jesus' command to "stretch forth thine hand," believers experience God's power when they step beyond what feels safe and trust Him with what seems impossible. At the heart of this message is the call to reclaim the faith, authority, and purpose that life's disappointments and the enemy have attempted to diminish. Pastor Barnes teaches that fear, sin, passivity, and repeated setbacks can cause our faith to shrink, but even a little faith, when stretched in obedience, is enough for God to perform a miracle. God is calling His people—and His church—to enlarge their vision, deepen their prayer and worship, increase their commitment, and prepare for greater harvest. Whatever God is asking you to do, now is the time to stretch beyond your limitations and trust Him to accomplish what only He can.
