I'm Coming Out of This With Something | Pastor Lawrence C. Barnes, Jr.

MAY 31, 2026 The blessing of God often becomes most evident in seasons of adversity rather than seasons of abundance. Drawing from Galatians 3:29, the life of Abraham, Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, and the story of Ruth, Pastor Barnes reveals that those who belong to Christ are heirs of Abraham’s promises and carry a blessing that cannot be canceled by difficult circumstances. Just as a seed contains within itself both the blueprint and timing for its growth, God has planted His Word within His people, embedding both the promise and the appointed time for its fulfillment. Though trials may appear to contradict what God has spoken, they often become the very environment where His purpose begins to unfold. At the center of this message is the truth that God never wastes adversity. Throughout Scripture, those connected to His promise consistently emerged from hardship with more than they had when they entered it. Abraham left troubling situations with increased blessing, Israel came out of bondage with wealth and multiplication, and Ruth transformed personal loss into a legacy that reached all the way to Christ. What appears to be burial may actually be planting, and what feels like a setback may be preparation for increase. If you are walking through a season of pressure, disappointment, or uncertainty, remember who you are in Christ. The same God who worked through Abraham, Israel, and Ruth is still at work today. No matter how difficult the season, His people are not coming out empty-handed—they are coming out with something that God has produced through the trial.

The Seasons of A Word | Pastor Lawrence C. Barnes, Jr.

MAY 17, 2026 The promises of God often unfold through seasons before they are fully manifested. Drawing from Psalm 105:17–19 and the life of Joseph, Pastor Barnes reveals that a Word from God may first lead through hidden seasons, painful testing, and circumstances that appear completely opposite of what God has spoken. Just as Joseph carried dreams of elevation while sitting in a prison with iron on his feet and neck, believers often find themselves wrestling with delay, pressure, and disappointment while holding onto a promise from God. Yet what feels like contradiction is often preparation for manifestation. At the center of this message is the truth that God’s Word does not expire—it has a manifestation date. From Genesis to Joseph’s deliverance, Scripture reveals that God speaks into chaos, darkness, and impossibility without waiting for perfect conditions. The season of contrast often comes just before breakthrough. When God’s appointed time arrives, no prison, opposition, shame, or spiritual resistance can stop what He has declared. If you are in a hidden or difficult season, the answer is not to quit or force the process, but to trust God’s timing, remain faithful, and believe that your season is about to change.

I Had to Go Through It | Pastor Lawrence C. Barnes, Jr.

MAY 3, 2026 On the journey through life’s trials, the greatest need is not escape—but transformation. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 10:1–2, Pastor Barnes reveals that what feels like a dead end is often God’s appointed pathway. Just as Israel stood before the Red Sea with no way out, we often find ourselves in moments of fear, pressure, and uncertainty. Though the trial feels overwhelming, it is not by chance—it is divine purpose. What we often rebuke as opposition may actually be God working as a Refiner, exposing and removing the iniquities hidden within us. At the center of this message is the truth: “You have to go through it.” God does not always remove the trial—He uses it. Like gold and silver refined by fire, the heat reveals what must be taken away so that purity can remain. The Red Sea was not just an obstacle, but a necessary transition from bondage to freedom. His process transforms fear into faith, bondage into deliverance, and pressure into purpose. If you feel like the weight is too much, the answer is not to escape—but to trust the Refiner, endure the process, and allow Him to bring you through so you can declare, “I had to go through it.”

Still | Pastor Lawrence C. Barnes, Jr.

APRIL 19, 2026 In a fallen world marked by pain, disappointment, and spiritual heaviness, it is easy for the human spirit to become wounded and diminished. Drawing from Job and Israel’s captivity in Babylon, Pastor Barnes reveals how trials, sin, and life’s pressures create “spiritual erosion,” gradually wearing down faith, hope, and expectation. Though the human spirit may become broken, pessimistic, and guarded, this condition does not reflect God’s reality—only our experience. At the center of this message is a powerful contrast: the weakened human spirit versus the unchanging, undefeated Holy Spirit. While life may alter our expectations, God’s thoughts toward us remain unchanged—full of purpose, promise, and restoration. As declared in Ephesians 3:20-21, He is still able to do “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” The call is to shift from what we feel to what God speaks—allowing His Spirit to override limitation, restore vision, and reignite hope. No matter the wounds or erosion, God still has plans, still speaks life, and is still working beyond what we can imagine.
