A Dose Of
Into the night. Dead by morning. In this episode we talk about the Dyatlov Pass Incident where nine Russian hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains between 1 and 2 February 1959. They were: Igor Alekseyevich Dyatlov, Yuri Nikolayevich Doroshenko, Lyudmila Alexandrovna Dubinina, Georgiy (Yuri) Alexeyevich Krivonischenko, Alexander Sergeyevich Kolevatov, Zinaida Alekseevna Kolmogorova, Rustem Vladimirovich Slobodin, Nikolai Vladimirovich Thibeaux-Brignolles, Semyon (Alexander) Alekseevich Zolotaryov, Yuri Yefimovich Yudin (who survived). In part two we discuss the two main theories: the possibility that the hikers were killed by an avalanche or sinister Russian experiments. "Later, when they sat around the campfire for their evening meal, Sharavin produced the flask of vodka that he’d found in the tent and proposed a toast to the health of the Dyatlov group. “We shared it out between us – there were 11 of us, including the guides,” he recalls. “We were about to drink it when one guy turned to me and said, ‘Best not drink to their health, but to their eternal peace.’" Part 3 coming soon.
