Along the way, they explore evolution, climate, and the delicate balance that allows life to thrive in such an unforgiving landscape. Oh, and also desert shrimp?

S1E6 | The Rot Squad | Death, Decomp, & Detritus

The class heads underground to meet the Rot Squad and explore what happens after living things die. Sarah and Matt dig into decomposition, fungi, microbes, and the environmental conditions that speed up—or slow down—the process of decay.
