The Bride of Christ is a well-known term in the Christian tradition. But can you also be married to an angel? The Blessed Virgin? Or Gwyn ap Nudd, King of the Welsh Fairies, as is the case for Dr. Megan Rose? The practice of marrying a deity is as old as humanity, and has been practiced across many cultures and traditions all over the world — long before the cross and Christian mysticism merged. She holds a Ph.D. in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and an M.A. in Religion and Ethics from the Graduate Theological Union. She is chair of the Pastoral Counseling and Chaplaincy department at Cherry Hill Seminary. Dr. Rose’s teachings and practice focus on the integration of Pagan and animistic spiritualities within a transpersonal psychological framework.
